About a year ago I decided it was time for a new tattoo.... after doing my research and seeing my friend Megan's tattoos that she got from Rob, I went ahead and chose South Seas. Â Â Rob wasn't available, but Sam was. Â I checked out his work and decided that his color skills were exactly what I was looking for.
Walk-ins are welcome, but these guys are usually pretty busy and you'll end up making an appt to come back. Â
I had a great experience and Sam made me feel very comfortable, and dealt with my occassional cries of pain lol (I'm a baby).
They do charge by the hour here, and I think I spent more than I would at another store, but it was definitely worth every penny. Â
When I get around to my 6th tattoo... and 7th and 8th ;) I'll definitely be back at South Seas.
I also had a groupon for this shop and I had a surprisingly positive experience! Joey did my tattoo, I came in with a half baked idea and he was more than willing to talk with me and think of creative ways to achieve what i wanted. He drew my tattoo right on me and was friendly and fun to chat with during the tattoo process. I will definitely be returning to this place. I often avoid going to get tattoos alone because I get a little intimated, but the atmosphere in this shop was great!
Review Source:I have been to several tattoo shops, and Rob's work is by FAR the best. Â I highly recommend him to anyone that wants to get inked, he's actually the only person I recommend. Â After having bad work done at other tattoo shops, I know good quality when I see it. Â
Rob has done two pieces on me, one of them being a touch-up. Â The colors are amazing, the lines, the details, the shading. Â From top to bottom. Â
When my younger sister was of age and wanted to get a tattoo, Rob was the first person I turned to. Â I trust him with everything, with my family. Â
With that being said, I think it's time for you to go get a new tattoo!
Somehow, I find it far easier to commit to a lifelong ink commitment than any other kind. ;) So, when in need of a change, a pick-me-up, or just a little pampering, I never underestimate the value of ink therapy.
This custom spot is directly beneath my old employer, so it's kind of a no-brainer. One of my BFFs, Nicole H., is a frequent customer, and convinced me to sit for a session.
I chose some gorg tropical flowers for my design, and Billy, one of the artists, did a rad job of drawing them out. To boot, I decided to put the tattoo over an old one, on my left shoulder. Cover-ups can be a challenge, but he NAILED it. Seriously, I can't even see my old tat, and the new one is totally bright, colorful and graceful. I absolutely adore it!
Their prices are also reasonable, and are calculated on an hourly basis.
The parlor is completely comfortable too, and just a cool place to chill. Stop in and chat with the guys about what you're looking to do, and I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised. You can't trust your skin to just anyone, after all. But I trust these dudes.
I have known these guys for a long time, watching their amazing talents for years. Â I was very excited to see the new shop! Â A clean environment (which isn't always the case in Broward) filled with cool people who are amazing ARTISTS! Â This isn't a place that can only give you some generic flash art -- this is THE place to go for original artwork. Â I wouldn't even think of letting anyone else touch my skin.
