I recommend sending him your design ahead, and getting a quote; but he is also good with creating it on the spot.

My amazing sister bought me my first tattoo, and we LUCKED OUT by coming here! Chris Bass created the tattoo of my dreams. He was patient, detailed, and so talented. I was nervous as hell, and he made sure I was comfortable. This guy is so incredibly talented, I have no doubt he will be very well known very soon. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Review Source:I had been researching tattoo shops around town for the last month and settled on Tattoos Deluxe. I'm so glad I did! This was by far the best tattoo experience I've had. I wanted to get a tattoo in honor of my Dad who passed away a few months ago. I had an idea of what I wanted but it wasn't fully fleshed out. Along came Mags. She took my idea and really made it into a beautiful piece of art. I couldn't be happier with her work. She has a very light touch as far as the actual tattooing and she is an absolute perfectionist. Which I think is a must have quality in a tattoo artist. I wouldn't go anywhere else for body art. This is the place!

MAGS was FABULOUS!  She made this experience a stress free and enjoyable one!  I wanted the three elements  (SURFING, MUSIC AND MEDICAL) AND SHE JUST MADE THE MOST PERFECT sketch!  I was soooo fortunate to have met this talented artist!

When I was looking to get my chest done, I went into Tattoos Deluxe and met Mags. I had an idea of the elements of the design, but needed help putting it all together. Mags was great, worked on drawing ideas, making recommendations, it took a few sessions to complete it and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. She's a true artist and a fantastic lady. My highest recommendation.
Review Source:I have been going to Greg James for about ten years now and I'm happy that he finally got his own shop. Greg is a world renowned tattoo artist and I love all of the work he has done on me. I should note that he didn't do any of the stuff you can see in my yelp profile pictures.
The shop is clean, inviting, and comfortable. Lots of artwork to stare at while you are getting work done and good music playing. That's my review of the shop itself but tattoo shops don't tattoo you, tattoo artists do that. The artists also tend to be nomads. It isn't uncommon to visit the same artist in many different shops during their career. My point is, you shouldn't use yelp to find a tattooer. Yelp is an advertising site and shops that pay the $300 per month fee may appear to be higher rated shops due to the filtering system.
If you're looking to get a tattoo, do some research based on your price range and what you are looking to get. Most shops have websites where you can see pictures but go to the shop beforehand as well. Do you feel comfortable there? Are you comfortable with this guy or gal touching you for the duration of your tattoo? Getting a tattoo isn't like getting your car worked on, much more up close and personal.
What a fabulous tattoo and what a low key vibe. I was tattooed by Greg James yesterday after having been tattooed by him in Hollywood years ago. His artistry is as top notch as ever but the new location has a quiet, friendly, and tranquil feel that was so relaxing. A couple of people got pierced while I was there and someone else also got a tattoo. No pressure tactics, just helpful chit chat, and trying to please the customer (I must have been offered a bottle of water about five times). I totally and whole-heartedly recommend Tattoos Deluxe for both superb work and just nice human beings.

My husband and I made up our minds on getting matching ring finger tattoos but we were particularly weary and nervous about the tattoos looking like "blobs" since we had not seen too many successful finger tattoos through our research. So we just ventured out and stumbled upon Tattoos Deluxe. Noah was there to greet us as soon as we walked in. We showed him some ideas we had and explained what we wanted. He is a genuinely nice, friendly person who seemed confident in his work and made us feel extremely comfortable. He had a sketch ready in 10 minutes, worked on both my husband and I in a professional manner while keeping us laughing the whole time with his humor. It was awesome! An overall, pleasant experience. The new owner Greg was also doing work on someone while we were there and he still found time to interact with us and make us feel welcome. His client seemed very relaxed and happy also.
