All and all my nails look o.k. They however took a LOT of skin off my toes. I'm assuming she pulled out an ingrown toenail but didn't bother to tell me. The bottoms of my feet are still rough and the massage was way too hard. One of my toes was cut into as well. The salon was tiny and NOT CLEAN. Booths and pedi chairs are placed so you have to look at the person directly in front of you. The floors are clean but the walls were dusty. Water stains on the ceiling and a random selection of beauty products covered in acrylic dust. Sure they were all nice and funny but it just wasn't worth it. Stella making beauty, I'm so sorry I cheated on you but I just couldn't make it to Burbank tonight.

I came in for a manicure. The place was tiny but clean. Their tools were sanitized. They had a great selection of OPI colors and were pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon. I picked my super cool blue color and waited..
Soon enough one of the girls motioned for me to come over and started working on my nails. She was sweet..cut me by accident..but still sweet. My manicure came out nice and I was happy. I'll go back if I am ever in the area and need a mani/pedi/.
    Mani - $12
    Mani/Pedi- $30

Just got back from here and immediately had to YELP!

I had called to make an appointment about a week in advance and was told that a gel manicure would cost $25. This was the same price as many other salons but I had chosen this one because it was so local.

When I arrived, there was no receptionist. I sat down as no one greeted me until a nail tech said "Who are you here to see?" I told them no one in particular but that I had an appointment that day. They did not seem very organized or that they even remembered my appointment, but luckily there were many manicurists sitting around so they got to me right away. I immediately asked to make sure that the gel manicure was $25. Someone immediately said "No. $27." I said, "I spoke to someone on the phone just last week and it was $25, not $27." Instead of having me pay $25 like I was told, she insisted on the $27 and said that they changed their price of the gel manicures as of March 1st. How can they run a business like this? I called BEFORE March 1st! I was shocked.

The woman doing my nails was not very friendly, did not ask me any questions and worst of all, trimmed my cuticles for twenty minutes and ended up trimming them so much that three of my nails bled. It stung terribly! Luckily, this lady ended up moving on to another customer.

Another girl stepped in to start my gel polish and definitely noticed the bleeding. She wiped my nails on the towel and did not mention the blood once. The reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one is because this lady was a bit more friendly and actually did a good job on the actual polish part.

While I was getting my nails done, I watched as a few staff members had nothing to do. They were eating while sitting on the pedicure massage chair and on the computer. None of the woman I saw had their nails manicured-shouldn't that be a requirement to have freshly groomed nails while working at a nail salon? That's even a requirement at a retail store in the mall! It was just not a very professional environment.

All in all, I will not be coming back to the L Salon. It is unfortunate too because it is so convenient based on where I live.
