They are closed - apparently moved to Texas.

I put one star as I have no intentions of ever getting a tattoo.

These guys are absolutely fantastic. The shop is a little awkward, since it's downtown, so there's only street parking, but they are definitely worth it. They do take walk-ins, but for bigger pieces, it would definitely be best to get an appointment, to make sure that the person you want is available and has time.

They have a small area upstairs with several chairs for tattoos and piercings, and an area downstairs where they can do piercings or more private area tattoos. Both are clean and comfortable.

But the tattoos they do here are great! I had a quote in black, and the artist was great in picking out a font for me and designing the layout on my arm. He took his time and did a great job with the shading, as well as making sure it was symmetrical. Nice guy, as well.

My sister had her tattoo done at Wild West of a rose, and had it done without any black outline at all, which many artists are wary of doing, since the color can bleed and look bad without being careful enough. But they did a wonderful job on it, and the colors still pop and look sharp, even 5 years after she had it done.

Awesome, awesome place. Definitely my top recommendation for Reno.

I know its a little late but on a birthday trip to Reno a couple years ago (Vegas wasn't in the budget) my fiance, sister and I stopped into Wild West while walking to one of the casinos.  We came in just to look and the owner and staff were really friendly (no high pressure but eager to help) we all ended up getting tattoos that night.  Robert did mine and i must say that even though its just script it looks soo awesome i am still getting compliments on the quality of work.  If ur in the Reno area and the urge for ink strikes these guys are great!

    What an experience!
My best friend and I decided that we were going to get our first tattoos and they were going to be matching snowflakes. We had planned on going to a different shop but after a horrible experience trying to get their input and actually get in for the tattoo we decided to come here. Thank god we did!

We called 2 hours before they were closing and after our long explanation were instantly told to come in and that it wouldn't be a problem. We gave our picture to Shane and he turned it into something completely different and it was so much better than what we originally had in mind! They took their time and both of our pieces turned out amazing and exactly where and what we wanted.

The shop in general is super nice, clean, and well managed.
The guys themselves are super nice, easy going, and hilarious
Did i forget to mention nice to look at too?

5 Stars all around, the experience was amazing.

My wife and went to Wild West Tattoo to get back peaces done. Toph did my back peace and it turned out awesome. Toph is a very intense artist and is totally focused on his craft.  My wife got Justin who free handed a beautiful Japanese cherry blossom theme with flowers on her lower back. To say the outline came out great is an understatement. Justin broke his hand rousting out a drunk from the shop the next day and could not finish up the tattoo. Rob the owner tried to make it right but his schedule and ours did not match so the tattoo had to be finished else ware. Wild West Tattoo is a very professional place with top artists. They should make a show from this shop.

I had an impromtou tattoo recently.  After reffing a bad ass Derby Game (Battle Born Derby Demons vs. LCRG) I was headed to the afterparty when the cabby dropped us off at the wrong location.  But luckily it was in front of Wild West.

I stopped in and Tommy had a drawing of a skate already sketched.  It was like all the heavenly signs were pointed to getting inked.  Robert Fargo did my tattoo and I LOVE IT!

I had him add some Adidas stripes with wheels of blue and shoelaces magenta.  He did an awesome job and had a lovely hand.  I didn't feel like I was being carved into like other tattoo artist that have worked on me.

Anytime I head to Reno, I will for sure get inked here!

My friend Needle Fever from SVRG got a Roller Skate too and she loves it. Hers was done by Tommy.

Thanks Wild West!  I'm a forever fan.

Oh and not only were the people awesome (clean and good looking) but the music was the best!
