I love this place. I've had a lot of things pierced before and I have to say they did a great job on my anti brow and nose. I went in a few times for some mild discomfort during the healing stage of my anti brow and was helped by staff with an in depth cleaning. It made me feel a lot better and helped me heal.

As far as what they sell it is all quality. I had been buying my plugs from <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FGlasswearstudios.com&s=d65d203bf71ae4af72d833adabb43000cba1e24f1fd68974d7832d6e051ceddc" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://Glasswearstudios.…</a> before but it was cool to see a retail store selling his work.

I haven't gotten a tattoo here and know nothing about that aspect of the business.

Fantastic shop. The piercest is a great guy, very sweet and helpful. I went here to get a new ring put in my septum, and a friend came with me to have her septum fixed. He took care of both of us without much wait, and the girl at reception kept us entertained in the meantime.

After a harrowing experience elsewhere, I was relieved to find this place. I'll be back for more!

I just came in for some plugs, but the staff were super nice (and knowledgeable about Lovecraft).  I'd definitely consider getting a tattoo done here, as they know their shit and are talented to boot.

First of all, I can't express how nice and helpful all of the people in the shop are. They happily answer questions, open cases, talk about their experiences with different jewelry and make recommendations without being pushy or snobby. I always feel taken care of whether I spend money that day or if I'm just in to browse their new stock. The dark haired counter girl (who I embarrassingly have never asked her name) is wonderful. She, like everyone I've encountered is personable, professional and obviously loves working there.

With that said, I went in today to replace my nostril piercing after losing it in the shower this morning. While I was there I also decided to switch out my septum jewelry after getting it pierced by Seth awhile back. I couldn't be more pleased with both the jewelry I picked out and the piercing done by Seth.

When I went in for the septum piercing I was expecting some pain and a standard month or two of healing time. Not only was I surprised at how little the piercing itself hurt, but it has healed completely (no soreness, irritation, crustiness - nothing!) in a little over a month. You know what this tells me? It was done as perfectly as it could be and by following Seth's aftercare instructions I ended up one happy and sparkly septumed chick.

Do yourself a favor and go see these folks, not only do they do great work, they seem like genuine people too.

I found Adorn East  via this lovely site and was most impressed.  Almost every review was positive, making my confidence boosted! Upon reading the one negative review, I kindly asked Seth about the situation as it was exactly what I was getting done (jewelry replacement).  He reassured me of all the details and necessary information. Seth carries himself with professionalism and class, even when talking about other artists and shops.
I would highly recommend this place for any new or replacement piercings.
Get it Seth! Thanks for making my experience oh so great!

I had just moved to Portland and needed a good piercing shop to assist with my nose stud. The jewelry was poorly fitted at my old place.  I used the Yelps and took a chance on Adorn East.

Immediately the woman behind the counter and piercer Laura Jane ascertained my situation and found a replacement stud that was far better quality and aesthetics than the one I had. I was so impressed with their level of knowledge. The jewelry was very reasonably priced too.

When I went to my original shop for a better fit they showed me a case of studs and expected me to change it out myself. Laura Jane absolutely insisted that she put the new jewelry in. For no extra cost either. What a difference!

Not only was she obsessive about sanitizing the new jewelry, she listened to me that the fit was slightly off and spent another 20m sanitizing a new piece about a fraction bigger than the one she picked out. She explained exactly what was going to happen over the next few days (bit of angry skin as the piercing stretched with the new jewelry). It happened just as she said.

The whole experience was way better than I expected! I am very happy with the results as well.

Had a great experience getting my nostril pierced by Laura and picking out some new jewelry for my ears. The lovely ladies at Adorn were super helpful and fun. Laura took her time with me and I never felt like there was any rush. She did a great job of explaining both the aftercare, the piercing process and everything else I wanted to know. The jewelry selection at Adorn is really impressive as well. I don't think I've ever seen so many options! I'm really stoked on my new piercing! The only tiny bummer is that they don't like to take credit/debit cards which is understandable but inconvenient. I'm just one of those lame people who never has any cash. They told me they'd take my card but that they'd prefer cash and after such a rad experience I figured walking across the street to the ATM wasn't the end of the world. I will be back and with a big wad of cash next time!

Laura Jane is an amazing piercer. She explained the whole process clearly and patiently answered all of my questions. I highly recommend her if you are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable piercing artist.

I rated the shop as very pricey because they only use super high-end equipment and tools. So I rated it as expensive, but not a rip-off; money well spent.

    Good luck!

Adorn was my first piercing experience other than Claire's when I was a little girl. Brittany and Laura are super friendly, professional, and detailed in their work. They know what to suggest and are honest in their opinions. I got my nose pierced with Laura. She was very nice during the piercing and told me exactly what to expect. She made me feel very calm. I highly suggest Adorn East for your piercing needs. I'll definitely be going back again. I only wish I didn't always want to buy the most expensive jewelry! haha

I understand what it's like to be hit with a rush of customers, but it doesn't excuse rude. I've had nothing but good experiences at Adorn West but the staff that my girlfriend and I interacted with at this location made us feel unwelcome. That being said, I'm sure not everyone's experience will be like our's was, and is likely to be determined by who's working.

Went here a few months back and had Skot do some script under a tattoo Justin Lee had done over at the Adorn West studio a year back (Which I love!).  Skot was amazing, he listened to what I was looking to have done, pulled up the exact font from Calvin and Hobbes and then matched the line width and added to my previous tat in such a way you can't tell two people worked it.  Simple but perfectly done.  Now both Adorn sites have impressed me.

Well, I'd like to start off by saying that I've been to Adorn quite a few times.  I have to remove my body jewelry fairly regularly for medical procedures, so I head into Adorn every few months to get it all put back in.  I really like it there.  I like Seth.  He is super nice and personable.  Until this last visit, Adorn would have garnered 5 stars.  Easily.

Last week I went in to have my jewelry put back in and decided to replace my nose hoop with a post back piece that I don't wear that often.  I took in my own jewelry and Seth thought my post was too long.  He replaced it with a shorter post.  I didn't think anything of it.  I just assumed that he is a pro and wouldn't steer me wrong.

Next morning, my nose was really tender and swollen.  It  hurt more the next day.  It was actually painful.  Now, my nose has been pierced for 6 years.  It hasn't been in pain for a long time.  The pain just kept getting worse.  I knew something was up.

I was going to head back to Adorn to have Seth take a look at it, but while I was out for a walk I headed into a local place by my house and had the piercer there take a look at it.  Thank goodness I did.  Ends up the the post that Seth put in was only a 1/4 inch.  It was WAY too small for my nose and it had to be cut out of my nostril since the skin inside of my nostril had grown over it.  You read that right.  Cut out.  It'll heal, but it was a bloody mess.

I'm really disappointed to leave a "meh" review for Adorn, but think anyone going in should know what happened.

I went in the other day to get my ears stretched for the first time and my piercer was Seth. He was extremely nice and gentle and very informative, and considering I have anxiety, I really couldn't have asked for better.

A few days later, my ears got infected (not their fault) and I called them wanting to know what they recommend I do about it, and they told me to come back in and they would take a look for me. This time I got Desta who was also very nice and gentle and I really, again, couldn't have asked for better.

Not to mention that they are very inexpensive, at least in the piercing department.

Bottom line- affordable, clean, not pretentious, Laura Jane listened to my ending goal of my piercing (a thin ring only), and pierced according to what I want, and what would look good in my nose, and DIDNT just shove a needle in my face where ever she wanted, GREAT EXPERIENCE !!! She was also kind and gentle, made everything a pleasure.

They only take cash but really it didn't even matter with the kind of service I got. Oh and this place is located in the half basement of a building, so don't miss it, it's right where it says it is.

I was really considering another piercing place, but the piercers customer service sucked, made me feel like I was wasting his time. (that will be another review for sure!)

Skot, is super awesome and his custom tattoos are amazing.  I've sat for mine, still need to finish it and sat with two friends for theirs.  One friend it was her first and she was so happy throughout the entire tattoo (minus the outline ;), she's already planning out more.  Great experience, service and people.  Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

My piercing experience could not have gone more smoothly.  I got my tragus done and it hurt, of course, but the piercer was obviously skilled and made sure I was comfortable the entire time.  This wasn't my first cartilage piercing and I doubt it will be my last.  Jewelry was a little pricey when compared to some other shops, but I suppose you get what you pay for as they say.  My piercer was Laura and I would highly recommend her.  Clean & as pain free as a piercing could be.  No issues afterwards either.

Brit rocks and Desta was a blast. Definitely would recommend... unpretentious and knowledgeable.  I got my wife small plugs for her birthday.  It's been two weeks now and they are healing just fine.  We will definitely be going back to Adorn East for the stretching (and who knows what else?!)...

Went to Adorn East to have a custom tattoo made. I explained what I wanted and Skot Olsen drew it out perfectly.  He did a great job on the tattoo and was very professional and easy to talk with. Plus, he only charged me for three hours while the entire piece took five.  Everyone working there seemed really cool and professional.  I highly recommend going to adorn east for any tattoo work.

I recently stopped by because I lost the jewelry for my lip piercing (have to take it out every. single. day. for work... lame!) that I've had for about three years. While my experience at Adorn was brief, I was stoked to deal with such a friendly staff and such a knowledgeable piercer (his name has slipped my mind, but he said he was a visiting piercer..?). While I had been told in the past at another piercing shop that a shorter barbell would be too tight for my lip (it always felt a little big after healing), Adorn hooked me up with an absolute PERFECT fit. Seeing as they didn't even do the piercing - just looked at the hole in my lip and busted out the perfect size - I am pretty impressed. It was a little steep for the jewelry ($35), but it seems that this because you're buying quality when you go to Adorn.
Thanks so much for the great experience, I will definitely be coming back for whatever I am looking to get done in the future!

This was my 3rd stop in the hunt for a new nose stud.  Holy moly, who knew it would be so hard.  I hadn't had to deal with my  nose stud for years, and the last shop I'd been to was back in Boston, so I was reaching in the dark.

I went to another shop first which sold me a $20 nose screw that turned out to be stainless steel and caused a reaction with my skin.  I wasn't even aware that there were different materials, honestly!

But when I went to the second shop they said that might be the issue.  Unfortunately for me, they didn't have much jewelry in stock and it all cost like $45!  They tried re-bending the jewelry I had, just to make sure that wasn't the problem, which made it feel worse.

Desperate, I finally showed up at Adorn.  I was greeted by Seth, who was quite possibly the most down-to-earth and approachable body art representative I've ever run into.  I usually feel awkward and out of place in body art shops, having only the typical piercings and no tattoos, but Seth was very patient with me.  He showed me the two-piece nose jewelry which I was very skeptical about since it wasn't what I've been wearing for the past 8 years.  Despite the complexity of the jewelry, it was cheaper than what I'd been offered at place #2.  He proceeded to spend about 10 minutes patiently alleviating all my concerns and watching me stare at the jewelry tray while I adjusted my expectations and decided to give it a try.  Then he put it on me for no charge.  Needless to say, I told him to keep the change.

I hope I won't lose this one.  Seems like it will be difficult since it doesn't twist out!  But if I ever do, I now know where to go in Portland.  Thanks so much guys!

Professional, meticulous, clean, friendly, fair.  What more can I say?

Seth gave me a good intro prior to my first piercings (ever).  Adorn also provides great aftercare instructions that make it very clear what no-no's to avoid (which Seth went through with me, making sure my questions were answered).  They even give you a little bag of sea salt and instructions to make saline from a gallon of distilled water... how nice and responsible is that.  Oh and my piercings look great.  The studs are surgical titanium, I got the largest stones and the whole thing came to $100.  Cool.

The quality of his work and the pride and time he takes to make sure everything is done perfectly is amazing. Skot's work exceeded my expectations by far and I couldn't ask for more, I would recommend anyone to Adorn East and especially to Skot Olsen for the best tattoo experience.

I went in to Adorn East for a nose piercing 6 weeks ago and was greeted warmly by the staff immediately. I'm a 42 year old gal and there was no ageism, aloofness or more-hipster-than-thou posturing like I unfortunately get fairly often in this town. I struck up a conversation with the sweet, funny gal at the front desk while I perused jewelry. I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome. The jewelry selection was wonderful and all was very high quality, well-made and unique. They also have a selection that will suit just about any budget. You won't get a $25 piercing including jewelry here because they don't sell crap and they actually care about the qualtiy and safety of the jewerly that goes into their client's bodies. I, however, was on a budget, chose a simple opal nose stud and along with the piercing procedure and 20% tip, I left only $75 poorer. Great deal and I felt good about spending the money. I didn't have to wait long for my piercer, Seth The Amazing (may not be his professional moniker but it should be) to come out to fetch me. He took me into a completely private piercing room with a fabulous black chair for me to relax on. I love that it's a whole separate room because getting a piercing inevitably runs the gamut on the dignity scale and I personally appreciated that my "piercing face" would just be kept between Seth and I. Speaking of Seth, he took his time with me, educated me on what was new in the piercing world regarding jewelry and needles--it had been 15 years since my last piercing and they've made some pretty significant advances it turns out. Anywho, he then marked the spot, I checked it out, he spoke soothingly to me and then voila! I had a hole in my nose. It was amazingly quick and relatively painless--the needle was so ridiculously sharp. I was then provided with enough sea salt for a gallon of distilled water, given detailed after care instructions and sent on my way with a friendly goodbye. I'm a fan for life, even if I never get another body part pierced, I will continue to tell anybody who will listen about my stellar treatment at Adorn East. Seth, you are so incredibly talented, sweet and knowledgeable--a lovely southern gentleman if there ever was one.

I went in to get some barbells to replace my rings. Rings were giving me trouble and were messed up. No mention of price was made, and I selected the plain metal ones. Just plain metal barbells, nothing fancy. As I'm trying to figure out which ones I need, she says the piercer can put them in free...Great! The piercer (who gets 5 stars) put them in. Keep in mind I only paid 75$ to get pierced AND 2 rings originally(at Adorn) So I walk up to the counter and am told I owe $60! I mean, I'm not trying to be cheap, but I can't figure out how the hell one barbell can be $30. Just the jewelry? $30 each? I wanted to say, "uh, I didn't get pierced or anything."  What was I supposed to do, take them out? So yeah, I paid it, but I feel tricked. That business model only works once. I won't be back.

    Here's the gist, via FB:

    Nichole Alvarado:
Hey friends, I have a question. My purse was stolen last Friday and OF COURSE my monroe jewelry was in it. :( I came in today to purchase a replacement shaft & disc. The sweet lady asked me at the counter if I needed her to put it in for me, and I said no- I was under the impression she meant putting in the shaft I was holding- after I purchased it, and before I left.

When I put it in myself in the car I realized the shaft was too long (I had the piercing done in Eugene, but was going on the rec of someone at Straight To The Point, who happened to be out of the size I supposedly needed). I called to ask if it were at all possible if I could come back in and get a shorter one, and said sweet lady told me no- and that that is why she asked if I needed her to put it in for me.

So now I'm under the impression that if she HAD put it in at the shop and it didn't fit, she would have discarded the 5/6" for a 1/4" at no additional charge. If that's the case, I wish she would have made this clear when she asked if I needed her to put it in. And if that is true, can you please tell me why it makes a difference if it didn't fit in the shop vs. not fitting when I do it myself in my car outside in terms of cost (no charge for different size in the shop vs. coming back in a few mins later for a different size).

Thanks so much for the help (and the candy)!

Ahem. I really feel I must say when I went back in, I didn't expect a condescending lecture about germs and how long they live and what I might have done to contaminate my jewelry while I was out of the shop. I threw my arms up at one point because this woman (owner) was acting super defensive and pissy. I understand there are high standards of cleanliness to ensure customer and employee safety, and I appreciate that the owner is so passionate about that. However, I didn't appreciate the tone of her voice, or being talked to like I was an idiot- the piercer described it well, 'RAWWRRROW!' (hissy cat noise). So now I understand why if I had my jewelry inserted in the shop and it didn't fit, they would have tried a different size- they would have known it hadn't been tampered with and sanitized it there to resell (I assumed they would have discarded it, which sent the owner into another rant about how expensive that would be- OKAY, well now I know).

All of that makes sense. It was just that attitude with which the information was delivered that was completely unexpected. If I had known I was going back in to all that mess, I would have rather spent my money elsewhere, HOW.EV.ER, Seth was super cool and understanding and made me feel a lot better about the situation. For that I am super pleased. We met in the middle and I'm happy with the compromise.

    Thanks, Seth!

I went to Adorn after looking up reviews for almost every tattoo shop in SE Portland, and I decided on them because the general consensus was that they are friendly and the shop is clean. I wanted more ink, but I had been dreading the process of finding a good place and dealing with the attitude and feeling like I wasn't "cool enough" like some places can make you feel.

When I called and asked if they had time to do a walk in, the receptionist said "heck yea, come on in!" and I immediately felt at ease.

They greeted me at the door and the receptionist treated me like a valued customer (gasp!) and was friendly and helpful to me and in getting Tomma set up with what I wanted.

Tomma was very nice and had a laid back and professional attitude. She did beautiful work on me and charged me a more than reasonable price.

I looked around the shop while I was getting inked and took note that all of the staff seemed gentle, professional, courteous and friendly. The shop itself was very clean. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to my friends and family as we've been looking for a decent shop in the area.

My little sister swallowed a piece of her ill-fitting tongue stud (not from Adorn) while we were eating dinner one night. We had places to be, but we ran out to Adorn hoping that they'd be able to help her. They took great care of her--saw her as soon as the piercer was available, fitted her for something that was actually the right size, and were extremely warm, efficient, and professional. They turned a night that could have been a huge pain into a quick, easy experience, and we were really grateful! Definitely going to head back there for any future piercing needs.

I adore Adorn. This was my first visit to Adorn East, as all my piercing experience is at Adorn West. I stopped in to get my nose ring put back in, after it fell out. I only had to wait about 5 minutes and within 10, was out the door with my nose ring put back in properly, and no money from my pocket, besides a little tip. Score! I am super stoked to have them on the East Side, much more convenient! The space is smaller, but clean and it appears they still offer a large selection of jewelry.

Every person I have encountered who works at Adorn is always super friendly and funny, whether it's coming to sit with you on the couch, or just bullshitting with you about life while you're getting adorned...they are definitely the place to go! I can only speak to piercings tho, as I have not been tattooed here...but I have heard good things.

My very conservative mother once told me that if I felt the need to pierce or tattoo another part of my body, it might as well be my ass.  This is the same lady who told me that I should have  tattooed a bag of "fun size" Doritos on my left cheek,  when she learned of my neck tattoo; a cupcake.

Dual nose piercings used to be my trademark until the stuffy corporate public started asking questions.  I took them out, never missed them, but lately I have just had the itch...

Adorn is filled with so much lovely, affordable, jewelry, you will want to put a hole in every part of your skin, just so you can rock the gloriousness. Even better, the staff there are sweet, and don't come with the superior attitude that most tattoo artists and piercers often do.

The front lady chick was awesome and carefully measured out plugs that fit my ears.  Seth was super adorable, fun to talk to, and gave me two quick pokes.  Before I knew it, I was educated on aftercare, and had two perfect holes in my face for my charismatic christian mother to judge!

I have never considered piercing my ass, but in the event that I take my mothers advice, Seth and Adorn will be my number one pick.

Seth's really great.  Knowledgeable, doesn't rush through information, and just does fine, fine work.  I walked into Adorn for the first time yesterday, after having called last week and randomly gotten Seth on the line as he answered.  He spent about 10 mins. on the phone with me, patiently answering any questions I had, and welcoming me to come in.  He made a really great first impression.

My partner and I went in yesterday, for me to get my septum done, to change my nostril jewelry, and install new jewelry (a new curved barbell) for my rook.  Seth was gentle, professional, extremely clean, friendly with both of us, and this is THE EASIEST BREEZE OF A PIERCING I've ever had done.  He had such a steady and quick technique - just guiding me with breathing and letting me know what he was doing with each step.  The placement is perfect, the size jewelry he recommended is perfect... I couldn't be happier.  My septum has no pain today - looks awesome and I'm so pleased.

The thing that really impressed me most is the fact that I didn't get the impression Seth was trying to up-sell.  He told us we can buy saline spray anywhere - just to look for the correct type.  I was all set to have my rook piercing removed, after having it for about 7 years, because it constantly gives me irritation and trouble.  It's the only piercing I've had that has given me such a hard time.  Seth would have been totally cool with taking it out, but took the time to recommend a different type of jewelry (I had had a ring) - and I decided on different jewelry.  But it was refreshing to know that he was flexible either way, without making the irritation and trouble I've had seem like some sort of failure on my part.  When he did change the jewelry, he was gentle and patient (it was inflamed and pretty tender) and did a great job of making it as quick and thoroughly clean as possible.

SO happy.  Love my piercing, loved the jewelry selection - I'll go back and I'll send my friends and cohorts.  :)

I am not normally a person that gets BLOWN AWAY by customer service, but I will admit that it's hard to come by in the body art businesses in Portland. I walked in expecting to drop at least $60 for a nostril screw, since my $70 piece magically disappeared overnight (for the third time). I was warmly greeted and given my options, which were far more affordable ($20 for a new nose ring that will NEVER come out). I was taken care of by a lovely bearded gentleman named Seth, who engaged in genuine conversation with me.

I must admit that I was shocked by how nice everyone was to me. I was expecting the typical "hole-ier than thou" experience, where I leave feeling cheated. I will continue to bring my business to Adorn. They are clean, concise, nice, reasonable, genuine, and extremely helpful.

I'm not an overly pierced person, but I've been admiring my friend's rook piercing for years now, so when Adorn came up on Groupon, I thought, what the heck?

    Best decision ever.

Adorn East was the perfect experience. The people were all super friendly and helpful when discussing jewelry options (it was seriously all about what worked best for me), Desta made the piercing process as quick and painless as possible (Note to self: stick to titanium next time, 'cause while gold is pretty, it hurts like a mother going in), and everything was EXCEPTIONALLY clean. And that's saying something considering I grew up with a mother who worked in infection control and is now a public health division director.

If (or rather, when) I decide I need another piercing, I will definitely be going back to Adorn!

Came here on one of my spur of the moment, "I NEED A TATTOO RIGHT THIS SECOND!!!!" moods and boy, was it a good choice!

Momma Tomma took my idea and sketched it into what turned out to be my favorite tattoo.  I have never felt so comfortable in a shop before, which says a lot, since I am covered in tattoos...  Definitely top notch service here.

Another fan of Seth I am...  Just got a piercing,  and I'm elated.  I originally wanted to try Adorn East because I have a tattoo from Justin at Adorn West.  Wanted something closer, and after speaking AT LENGTH with Seth on options, jewelry, after care, etc. I was hooked - or stabbed as it were.

And yes, as a budding germaphobe - I was happy to see Seth with not one but two changes of gloves, cleaning the whole chair (even the back - which in my mind is cool, but I'm wondering WTF gets on the BACK of a piercing chair...and then I realize I really don't want to know after all).

The shop has a super cool, laid back vibe - not snobby, or snooty, or "I have more ink (or more holes) than you, so basically you suck".  I'm tired of tattoo shops with egos bigger than Cadillacs.  Give me real people, who generally care about their art, believe in what they do - and then throw in some nice artistic talents - I'm hooked.  Or stabbed.  Or poked.  You get it.  I'll be back, I have another whole and some more ink in my future.

Never will I go anywhere else again, period.  I had heard about Adorn through numerous friends and a boyfriend who was always raving about them, so when I saw that they were doing a Groupon deal, I jumped on the chance to check it out for myself. Often when I present a Groupon I get half ass service, as if I am cheap because I use Groupons. Not here.

Seth was amazing. I knew that I wanted my nipples pierced, for the third time, at a 10g, and he wasn't hesitant at all to pierce OR to explain what I could expect from the healing process being that there is scar tissue formed already.  He took his time marking the placement, which is critical, had me check, then checked again, explaining each step as he went along.

First: For those of you worried that you may not be "cool" enough to go into a piercing shop, loose that notion right here. I walked in wearing interview clothes and was treated wonderfully. So let that be a lesson to all of you our there that don't know what to wear when going to this "alternative lifestyle" establishment. It really doesn't matter :)

Second: I have a high pain tolerance when it comes to painful things with a prize at the end, that said,  I was a bit nervous due to the fact that when I had them done the 2nd time there was was a problem getting one of the piercing through. Seth was very reassuring that he was a strong man and could do it. He also does not use clamps, which really are not all that enjoyable. This by far was the easiest piercing that I have ever had. A few deep breaths and it was done.

Third: I did not know that I would swell the way that I did (as some people just do naturally). After a couple of weeks , I decided to go have them looked at, just to check if everything was OK. I did need slightly longer posts, which were changed out for me with the ease of sipping a delicious cocktail. Now all is healing as it should and I can not wait to go back.

    Amazing service, Amazing talent
Don't forget to tip, they are doing a service for you after all!!

This is a beautiful shop with some of the nicest and most skilled technicians I've experienced- and I've had holes poked in me in three different time zones.

Hallie, one of the tattoo artists, was the first person I met when I came in for a consultation and estimate the day before getting work done, and was thoroughly delightful to talk to while I waited to speak to one of the body piercers. I'm definitely going to get in touch with them when it's time for my next tattoo.

Once Seven finished with their client, they were more than helpful in helping me to pick out the right pieces and sizes for my piercing goals. They wrote everything out and even helped coordinate beautiful colors, for an overall designed look.

When I came back in today to get everything done (with cash- they only take cash here, so I recommend getting a quote first!), Seth was working and he's the one who did my piercings.

I gotta say, he did a really, really awesome job! Not only is he super sweet and attentive, but these were about the fastest and most precise piercings I've ever received, which also made them about as painless as piercings can get. I got three in one sitting, which is a first for me, and I really couldn't be any happier with his work. I totally recommend him!

Adorn itself has incredibly beautiful jewelry, and a better selection of it than I've seen anywhere else. You can also see what attention to comfort and sanitation is paid here. But even aside from that, every single person who works here that I encountered was a lot of fun to talk to, extremely knowledgeable about what they do (and tons of other awesome stuff!), and easily some of the coolest people I've met in Portland. Why wouldn't you want to have work done by such intelligent and talented people?

Adorn, y'all are awesome and Seth, thanks for the gorgeous work!

Had a great experience here today. Walked in over lunch to buy a replacement part for my septum ring and then decided to get a whole new rig!

Seven was great. He recommended a segmented continuous ring (as the last continuous I had was NOT segmented and it was a P.I.T.A to take out). I even got "installation" at no extra charge. :-)

I am giving these guys 4 stars simply because of the cash-only rule. To be fair, they have a sign on the front door (that I managed to miss) and they let me run to my bank to avoid the fees. But, a bit of an inconvenience no less.

However, they have a super nice crew working here and I will definitely be back.

I have finally found my shop!  After an extensive research mission of the Portland area, I found a place I feel comfortable in, is close to home, and is reasonably priced.

Seth Diaz has stretched my ears to lookin' super sharp, and their selection of jewelry is HUGE.  And if they don't have it in stock, they will helpfully order it for you.  Aces!

I came in for a simple walk-in tattoo a couple of weeks ago, and the Random Gods shone upon me and I got Halley.  She worked with me to get my idea exactly right, and took the time and care to get the placement perfect and made sure I was happy with it each and every step of the way.  She's easy to communicate with, something so completely valuable in a tattoo artist.

We talked about my other ideas for tattoos and she seemed very excited at the prospect of designing and executing my ideas, even through in some of her own ideas that were on track with mine.  I'm definitely going back to get a big piece done by this fun-loving and talent artist.  She kicks ass, and so does my new tattoo.

Apparently all I do anymore is get needles shoved into my body. I do this all so that I can bring you, the darling Yelp community, a comprehensive list of places in which to express, alter, modify, enhance, or otherwise decorate yourself.

The most noticeable thing about this place is the selection of jewelry. Next to Straight to the Point (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/straight-to-the-point-portland#hrid:QHeEW6NKXHXRl2lgYyOZxQ">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) this place has the best assortment of some of the most beautiful jewelry I've seen in a long time. I have no idea about the prices (years and years of gawking have taught me not to look unless I'm armed with - uh oh - post-holiday money).

I went in to get both nostrils pierced (at the same session) as my two-piercing cool-down from the two tattoos I'd gotten earlier that day at Skeleton Key (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/skeleton-key-tattoo-portland#hrid:Zo7P011m5aIVZtfWWyCPlA">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) and was quickly walked through the paperwork and given a price estimate (they're cash only).

Seth was my piercer and, aside from earning an A+ in beardyness (really, the beard is TOPS), he was incredibly informative, friendly, calming, patient, and spot-on with his markings for piercings. This makes me extra grateful as my face doesn't need the extra hurdle of having uneven, improperly aligned nostril studs.

Overall, a great experience. I rarely get pierced anymore, but I've been lucky to have work done by two very talented artists who made the process quick, painless, and as fun as getting needles shoved your flesh can ever be.

Austin is an amazing tattooist. Hes funny and draws you into the shop. Hes not just another artist he treats you not as a customer but a person.

I've been going to Adorn East for a couple years and have always received the best individual attention and work from Austin Rose. He has done about 90% of all my work and has even "fixed" the crappy ones I got when I was young and stupid. Recently I wanted a half-sleeve as a dedication to my mother and Austin drew the most amazing piece of art for it. I couldn't have imaged anything as beautiful as what he drew for me. I will NEVER go anywhere else!

I love the artists here: Jesse has done every single tattoo I have on my body. I feel like his walking advertisement as random strangers often stop me on the street to ask where I get my work done. He is a sweet, invested and talented artist who really cares about putting something you are going to love on your body, rather than just taking your money. Seven is a up and coming piercer who is incredibly patient. His sweet energy makes the piercing experience very calm. I'm sad to see Christy Fish go, but I have long admired her amazing artistry. If I wasn't personally committed to Jesse as my artist, I would definitely consider getting some work done by her.

i really wanted to get a tattoo here but it just didn't happen.
    - the artist  rescheduled 4 times and waited until i got half way there to tell me.
-the artist would not call me back  and the shop  failed to tell me he was fired.
    - had to wait weeks for return calls and having to practically beg for my deposit back
i realize its not the shops fault that the artist brandon is a flake and is sleazy and overcharges but i do think i should have been called  and told so i didn't waste my time with him. really,  he shouldn't have been allowed to book customers when they knew they were firing him. im glad that he is gone and hopefully no one else hires him.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Christy Fish for her fantastic work on my new tattoo. She totally exceeded my expectations. A true artist with a fun personality. Be sure to check out her portfolio on the Adorn Body Art website and call to schedule your consultation.
Also loved that the staff seemed to be enjoying each others company, singing along to the music, tossing around new ideas, working together, and greeting repeat customers warmly like long lost friends.

I have seldom had such a pleasant, positive experience with a tattoo and piercing shop.

I was pretty loyal in Louisiana- I had one guy I went to, for all my piercings, and he was great and I loved him.  So when I moved up to Portland, I was a little at a loss.  Not that I was in the market for piercings, anyway.  I wanted a tattoo.

Friends recommended Adorn, and I can't thank them enough. This place is first rate and top notch, and I will be returning to Christy Fish (who is an incredible artist) again and again.  The staff is professional, personable, and unbelievably talented.  The shop is sterile as it should be, and their work is well worth the money.  I cannot exaggerate how fantastic this place is.  For custom work (which is what they specialize in- for good reason) you just won't find anything better.

One of the best shops I have been to and i've been to a lot. Friendly service. Best selection of jewelery you're going to find. Well rounded artist with personality. I would without a doubt suggest this shop for your next tattoo or piercing in the Portland area!

A great shop with outstanding selection of jewelry. I went in on my birthday for a free piercing, I just had to buy the jewelry. FaraTa was on vacation, and I'm bummed I didn't get to meet her after the other outstanding review here and a testimonial from my neighbor who says FaraTa is rad. Jo from Robot Piercing was filling in though, and she was helpful and did a great job on my simple nostril pierce. She put it in exactly the spot I wanted and said she would repierce it for free if I was unhappy. Friendly and professional.

    FaraTa rocked my right nostril!

I was shopping around for where to go to get my nose pierced the other day and found this establishment. I've been to Black Hole for all my other piercings in the past and they were very professional and sterile, but not very friendly or warm. Sure, its a piercing and by nature is not warm and fuzzy, but I figured I would just shop around a bit and see what else is out there.

I called up Adorn East and FaraTa picked up and chatted with me for a while about jewelry options, cost, healing, etc. It just felt so right! I collected my buddy and my courage and cruised over to the shop. They had a great selection of jewelry and some cool dudes were getting tatted up while I awaited my piercer to summon me.

FaraTa is a hardcore chick with a heart of pure gold. She was gentle, professional, and fucking amazing. Her rainbow braided mohawk was rad. Her honesty and openness blew my mind. And my lovely white opal nose stud is perfect! Hardly any swelling, no redness, no signs of infection or irritation. Gotta give myself some credit for proper care but word up to Adorn- this lady rules.
