Aaron did a great job on my faux snug. It's meant to look like a curved bar through the middle bar of my ear but it is actually two posts, that could eventually be two hoops or any number of variations.
He was thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't really try to upsell me on anything, which I appreciated.
Good light in the studio and pictures followed the quick piercings. I plan on a few more ear piercings and I would definitely go here for them. It's in a weird location but it's worth a trek.
$50 for an ear piercing with upgraded jewelry.
I'm new to Portland and finally have a job in the corporate world that allows for nose piercings. Â I had my nose pierced a few years ago but had to take it out for my job and have wanted it back since then. Â I asked around for recommendations, and most people directed me to Nomad on Division. Â The only issue - Nomad was NEVER open when I had the availability to go (I tried for around a week or so, but they would be closed or closing right when I got home from work). Â This isn't their fault - but I decided to Yelp around for another piercer on the eastside. Â That is how I came upon Aaron at Velvet Elvis. Â And I am SO glad I did. Â From start to finish, he was super professional and amazingly friendly to both me, and the friend I brought with him. Â She is a medical professional and was very impressed with how much care he took to be as clean, sterile, and safe as possible throughout. Â I would recommend Aaron to anyone in the Portland area looking to get pierced. Â Plus, he recommended my friend and I go to Namaste in NE for dinner and it was seriously amazeballs. Â So, that's another awesome selling point. Â P.S. Â Don't be super confused by the fact that it's in a tattoo parlor. Â That was the hardest part - figuring out where it was located!
