Aaron is so thorough, sweet and skilled! He made my daughter's first body piercing experience so easy and now she's rockin' a sweet little star stud in her nostril! We will be back! Thank you!

Aaron did a great job on my faux snug. It's meant to look like a curved bar through the middle bar of my ear but it is actually two posts, that could eventually be two hoops or any number of variations.

He was thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't really try to upsell me on anything, which I appreciated.

Good light in the studio and pictures followed the quick piercings. I plan on a few more ear piercings and I would definitely go here for them. It's in a weird location but it's worth a trek.

$50 for an ear piercing with upgraded jewelry.

I'm new to Portland and finally have a job in the corporate world that allows for nose piercings.  I had my nose pierced a few years ago but had to take it out for my job and have wanted it back since then.  I asked around for recommendations, and most people directed me to Nomad on Division.  The only issue - Nomad was NEVER open when I had the availability to go (I tried for around a week or so, but they would be closed or closing right when I got home from work).  This isn't their fault - but I decided to Yelp around for another piercer on the eastside.  That is how I came upon Aaron at Velvet Elvis.  And I am SO glad I did.  From start to finish, he was super professional and amazingly friendly to both me, and the friend I brought with him.  She is a medical professional and was very impressed with how much care he took to be as clean, sterile, and safe as possible throughout.  I would recommend Aaron to anyone in the Portland area looking to get pierced.  Plus, he recommended my friend and I go to Namaste in NE for dinner and it was seriously amazeballs.  So, that's another awesome selling point.  P.S.  Don't be super confused by the fact that it's in a tattoo parlor.  That was the hardest part - figuring out where it was located!

Velvet Elvis is rad. Everyone else pretty much covered it, but to give my two cents - All the staff members are nice, queer friendly, funny, and awesome.

Velvet Elvis Piercing is a great place. Very Clean.  Ill Will Raymond was very friendly and a shared lots of good information. It was our first time going into a business like this. Went in as a family to get my daughter earlobe pierced. After talking to the piercer she decided on her nose.  Its defiantly not a Claires, nor will I ever go back to Claires for a piercing.  He took his time and explained the process and how important it is to keep it clean.  We really liked him and will defiantly be going back.

Velvet Elvis Piercing sublets studio space in a building with two other tattoo studios.  The door to the establishment says "Jade Tattoo" which is confusing but once you walk in "Velvet Elvis" is clearly advertised so you know you are in the right place.

The studio space itself is clean, practical, and too the point.  Display case in the front, piercing chair in the middle, and additional chair for a guest to stare at you while getting pierced.  Yay!!

Aaron, the piercer and proprietor, is the gem of the place.  He is clearly experienced and exudes competency.  He has a deep knowledge of piercing methodology and will answer any questions in a concise, detailed manner.  He is meticulously clean and appeared to sanitize the whole place prior to piercing.  All I know is there were spray bottles and towels and a good wait for him to wipe everything down.  Absolutely awesome! He has great social skills that made me feel at ease and perfectly comfortable.

I had a lobe pierced and my partner had the upper part of her ear pierced.  Another great aspect of Aaron and his establishment is his patience.  He is in no rush and will review every option in the display case if needed.  Throughout the experience, it was clear that Aaron takes a tremendous pride in what he does.  He is thorough, detailed, and ensured that he was doing exactly what I wanted.

The piercing itself was exactly what both I and my girlfriend wanted.  Quick, painless, with a running patter through the whole experience.  Aaron uses high quality instruments.  I forget exactly how he described everything but he will explain it in exacting detail to you and that is not a bad thing.

After the piercing, Aaron gives a step by step breakdown of aftercare and provides the initial sea salt for cleaning the ring and piercing.  Aaron provides his experience and professionalism for an extremely reasonable price.

I had an awesome time and would return in a heartbeat.  For your next piercing, I would recommend Aaron at Velvet Elvis with no hesitation.

Very knowledgable. Don't be fooled by the neighborhood. Once you get inside, everything is just the way it should be. Neat, clean, and professional. Happy piercing!

One early November afternoon I decided that I'd obsessed long enough about getting a lip & navel piercing. I'd scoured  reviews of piercing shops looking for one that was affordable, used the highest grade metal & staffed with talented piercers. Body mods in relation to my health and aesthetics (ahem...vanity) are something I do not mess around with. I have no need to have a crooked piercing or obtain an infectious disease. Fortunately, there was a shop just for me (VE)!

Wil did both of my piercings. Ãœber-clean, soft spoken, genuine, and a wee bit perfectionistic -- these are fine qualities for a piercer to possess.

He really took the time to explain the process and was as gentle as he could be given his task. I was really impressed when he rescored the mark several times based on what HE thought it should look like. At the first mark I was satisfied! Turns out I have the smallest belly button on the planet earth (AND it's crooked!) I didn't even know!

I also appreciated that even with people waiting he made me feel like I was the only customer there (unrushed). That said he frequently checked in with those in line to update them on how much longer it would be, and to answer questions--very professional.

I am known for my impulsivity, which is why I'm going in today to get two more piercings. I came here to check if there were any specials and decided to draft this review because I felt bad that I hadn't taken the time before to do so. Great work deserves praise. Do not let the fact that they are outside of town deter you. Even if I only had a bike I'd ride my little pitutski out there. I highly reccommend Wil.

The best piercing job I've ever had!  Aaron was very professional with excellent attention to detail.  He spent several minutes measuring and calibrating to make sure the ring was in the exact center of my septum and far enough forward that it could be flipped up into my nose if need be.  Will definitely be back!

My wife and I recently decided to get our septum's pierced together as an anniversary present. Aaron did an incredible job. He has over a decade of experience and it really shows. He took time to explain everything involved in the process and also explained as he worked. They only use implant grade metal with internally threaded jewelry, a sign of a quality piercer. Their attention to detail and sterilization practices are impressive. If you live close in it's worth the short trip. I really can't recommend Velvet Elvis Piercing enough!
