Erynne is mobile & will come to meet you at any Starbucks. The design i got was on my forearm and lasted over a full month as i took care to not get it wet! She is sweet, knowledgeable & can be fast if you're in a hurry to get somewhere. This was my first Henna experience and I will definitely do this again in the future. She is able to copy any design exact so I showed her ones I liked from her site and a notebook she brought and went from there. She took the care to put surgical gauze over it so it would keep until the next step hours later when I was to scrape it off lightly at home. When showering I simply put a plastic bag over my hand and arm secured with a rubber band and showered with one hand. Easy to do just takes a little longer in the shower. Can't wait to do it again!

I hired Erynne a couple of weeks ago to draw a Hawaiian-themed jagua (like henna except with black ink instead of red) pattern on my back, right forearm and left calf. After discussing some ideas with me, Erynne made a custom stencil of a Hawaiian sea turtle (honu) graphic for my back and a gorgeous plumeria vine pattern for my arm and leg. Â The jagua designs were very important to me because they were a huge part of the costume I was wearing for a pole dance showcase I was performing in. Erynne, being a performer as well as an artist herself, understood this perfectly and took great care to ensure I got what I wanted.
Just the fact that she drives out to meet you shows not just how accommodating she is, but that she knows her craft and has literally thought of EVERYTHING to minimize mishaps with smearing so that you will be happy with your design. She is also extremely thorough and organized with providing skincare instructions and tips before and after your inking - she puts very clear instructions in a written handout. To top it off, she is so considerate and thoughtful - she worked quickly so that I wouldn't be sitting for too long, and asked several times if I needed to take a break.
What can I say...the jagua designs turned out BEAUTIFULLY. They really brought my performance to life and I received NOTHING BUT COMPLIMENTS on the inking. Many people thought they were real tattoos! They were so pretty that I considered having them permanently tattoo'd...but then I wouldn't have the privilege of calling up Erynne again for another amazing jagua (or maybe this time, henna!) design. And I definitely will want Erynne to come make me her human canvas again...I might just have her improv and surprise me with a design that inspires her next time, she really is that good!!
As far as pricing goes, I will leave that to Erynne to discuss with her clients as it will be different for each person depending on what they want. I will say, however, that Erynne is extremely reasonable, upfront with the fees, and is more than happy to work with you to make sure that you are comfortable with what you are paying. And really, boys and girls, to be a living, moving piece of art for that special moment, whether it's for a wedding, debutante, graduation or a performance like mine...is priceless. You absolutely want to get what you pay for and to have it done RIGHT. Erynne of Beauty Marks is definitely that, AND MORE.

I'm pretty neurotic when it comes to researching and actually had some very strange interactions with the four other henna artists/companies that I contacted on yelp, one of which never bothered to get back to me. Â Professionally speaking, Erynne was a dream, easy to communicate with, quick to respond, send paperwork and answer questions. Â I also thought her rate was more than fair - especially when I saw the caliber of her work. Â
As a person, she was a joy to have around, friendly and charming but not obtrusive. Â She even had a special essential oil free henna prepared for or pregnant guests! Â As an artist, her work speaks for itself. Â I've uploaded a few pictures but I really wish I had taken more.
Bottom line: If you are looking for a henna artist, make Eryanne one of your first calls.
I don't usually get on and write reviews but felt compelled to tell everyone about  Erynne!! I have had many henna tattoos from all over the world and Erynne is by far the BEST I'VE EVER FOUND! Erynne is gorgeous and so is her work. I was surprised by how non-toxic and sweet-smelling the henna ink is. My husband and I got anniversary henna's on our hands to represent our bond and then rolled with them to a legendary NYE party that had a Bollywood theme. We felt exotic, spiritual and connected.

I arranged a "Girls Henna Tattoo Party" and invited a bunch of friends, cuz I'm good like that.
