I was excited about getting my tongue pierced. So after saving enough money I came in and was very surprised when he didn't ask for my ID, after all, I waited until my 18th birthday. Had I known I didn't have to be 18, I would have done it sooner! Well, being the rookie that I am I didn't know that the swelling and pain was abnormal with a tongue piercing until showing my tongue to some friends that have had theirs done. With each day that passed it got bigger and bigger until finally you couldn't see the jewel anymore. It was then that I had to have another professional take it out for me and found out the jewelry he used was FAR TOO SHORT for a new piercing, hence why it swelled so bad. He didn't tell me how to take care of it or clean it either. I had to find out from other friends, not that it helped the swelling but most likely the infection. I wouldn't recommend this place for piercings but it sounds like they do well with tattoos. Black Pearl Tattoo, hire a new piercer!

I came in with a friend to get her nipple pierced, (which is a sensitive enough procedure as is), and he accidentally pierced her nipple at an angle and instead of stopping, re pierced her nipple straight and sent her on her merry way, assuring her it was fine.
There's nothing like going to the hospital with your friend to get her nipple lanced after someone botches A PIERCING ON HER NIPPLE.
That said, go somewhere with integrity, like Chimera. Sure, Chimera might be too weird or whatever for you, but at least it doesn't have a crappy paint job and won't land you with an infected nipple.
Which would be hilarious if it weren't so terrible
