Review Source:This review is long overdue.. about a year ago, my friend and I were itching for a tattoo. After driving around for an hour researching places it was already 9:30PM and most places were closed. Â So happy we found this place and although they close at 10PM on Friday, they were nice enough to tattoo my friend first. I was iffy about getting mine just because of time, I didn't want to hold them there longer than they had to be. But nope, they insisted and I'm glad they did. They were all a really nice group of people there. My friend got a finely lined blue elephant and it looks really neat and healed well. I got a black palm tree and came out just the way I wanted it.
Very accommodating, clean and nice!
And to previous reviews saying it wasn't done well the second time around--that applies to most retouched tattoos. Think about it...you're scratching up an old scar.
With any tattoo, just be cautious with the healing process.
Few weeks ago me and my friend decided to get a tattoo. We've checked salons here on <a href="http://yelp.com">http://yelp.com</a> and chose this one Body Shop Tattoo. That was a mistake. I got the wrong spelling of my tattoo. And the artist was trying to cover it with white color on the top. After  couple weeks white color has gone and my tattoo needs to be fixed. What about my friend? Well, she got her tattoo and it looks like 5-year old kid has done it. It's not our first tattoos, we've got few here in LA and few in Russia. So we know how it supposed to be. And the problem is when we came back to the salon these guys were talking rude and depreciatingly, and refused to fix it for free, we have to pay exactly the same price. Normally, the correction should be done without any money paid. They didn't give us any receipt or something and we stupidly forget to ask for it. What I'm trying to say is that this Body Shop Tattoo salon is the place where artists don't care if people are satisfied with their work, they're just simply getting money by cheating people. I just couldn't stay quiet and I wanted to warn u, guys, be careful. Good luck :)
Review Source:Was feeling down and low earlier so I decided to return to this place to get my cartilage pierced. I have a few piercings myself and a tattoo. Robert helped us again for the 2nd time. He made sure that everything was clean and new before he started. He sat down next to me and pierced my cartilage. He has the lightest touch! Pain was very minimal. It's been a few hours and the throbbing is going away and no pain or redness. Very clean and organized. Ill do a new tattoo next. They're so close to where I leave. Staff is very friendly and chill and not intimidating at all Kudos to the staff

I had been searching and searching for someone who could do this tattoo that I wanted on my neck, since it seems to be a running thing with tattoo artists that they won't tattoo necks or hands unless you are already fully tattooed.
I came across the shop when someone recommended it, so I stopped in with my friend.
The owner of the shop was a very funny guy and told me that he wouldn't do it, but his son would absolutely do it for me. FINALLY!
So after going from shop to shop, here was someone who wasn't going to try and preach to me about how much I would hate it. The guy who was going to do it, Marty, said to me, "hey, if you want it, I'm not gonna tell you you shouldn't. It's your body". Someone who understands! Haha :) anyway, he was patient with me when I made him redo the placement over and over, which I do with all my tattoos, and he was a great artist that did my tattoo exactly how I wanted it, and an awesome person to chat with as well!
So happy I found this place! I also ended up asking for him to do another small tattoo on my arm, and he gave me an amazing deal, where anywhere else I would have paid close to $100+ for the both.
I highly recommend! Especially if you want something most tattooers aren't willing to do:)
A good friend of my recommended Body Shop to me, and I'm so glad I listened to her. The guys here are so funny and make you feel so relaxed, no matter how nervous you are about your soon-to-be tattoos or piercings.
Ceasar is such a sweet guy and made the four hours of excruciating pain somewhat okay...kind of. With both tattoos, I was so anxious, but the guys there are always joking around and making you laugh and it makes you feel better. Even after the tattoo, they're very nice and will help you if you have any questions; I harassed Ceasar so many times because I didn't know how to take care of my tattoo, but he was always nice about it.
The prices are very reasonable here; my tattoo on my foot was in color and took 4 hours, and it was only $150. Another really nice thing is that your artist remembers you if you ever come back. The atmosphere is always fun, it makes you want to stay longer just to hang out with them.
If you want to get a tattoo, it's best to call them ahead of time and make an appointment. If you just walk in and it's a busy day, either you have to wait hours for someone to be free, or you have to come another day.
I had most of my art done at this place! It used to be on Colorado Blvd but they moved to Broadway not too long ago.
I love coming here to get INKED UP! The artists here are real cool, friendly, and make you feel comfortable during the session and when you're deciding on what to get.
Not to mention, the prices are ridiculously fair for the quality of work they do! Cesar is the man here! This guy is a great artist and is the coolest dude! The best part, these artists actually remember their loyal customers, despite how bust it gets! A very homey place.
CLEANLINESS is the most important factor when getting a tattoo, and this place exceeds standards! I recommend any one come here if they want to get tatted or need a peircing!

So, i walked in here today on my birthday, no appointment and very very scared of getting my first tattoo!
1: loved the place, my artist was manny, pretty layed back and chilled.

honestly, i just really liked it! i was so scared but the employees and the atmosphere was awesome in there! definetly happy with my tattoo and would go back there again!
The minute I walked in here, I was warmly welcomed.
A couple minutes later, I already felt like these guys were family. They're super friendly and funny but professional.
My artist is Caesar. Really great tattoo artist and overall great guy.
My friend got hers done by Manny who's also extremely nice and very professional.

I just moved from San Diego to Los Angeles and wanted to finish my arm. I had no idea where to get my tattoo. I started doing some research on line and look at several places. The one Tattoo shop that stood out was The Body Shop. I liked Marty's work the most. So i called him on that basis alone. When i talked to him  he was very cool and reworked his schedule to get me in there. When i showed to get my Tattoo Marty was very professional. He made sure i was getting what i wanted before he started tattooing. Marty was never rude with me. He was unlike most tattoo artist. When he started he had a very light hand and showed alot of attention to detail. Marty took his time and used numeours different colors. The final product was Amazing. I got a incredible deal as well. This tattoo else where would have cost 2 or 3 times more. Overall Body Shop and Marty gets a perfect rating from me. I will continue to go to The body Shop and to Marty. I get  good service, amazing work and all for a good price.
Review Source:Decent tattoo place on the cheaper side. Got a couple tattoos done here. Price is alright, and the mood inside is pretty kicked back. They usually have a tv going which helps while you are waiting or just have a longer sitting for your piece. The staff is pretty friendly and they like to have conversation and usually most other people in the shop will join in so you can have some pretty cool conversations. They do converse a decent amount so pieces seem to take a little longer to complete, but they charge by the piece and not by time usually

this place is the best. i have 8 tattoos from here. Â they've moved a few times, and i have gotten a tattoo from each one of their places. Review Source:I have a couple of favorite tattoo shops, this is my all time favorite. I have had about 10 tattoos done here, all my work has been done by Tommy and Ceasar. I have never had a complaint about my work here. The saying is Cheap tattoos are not good, and good tattoos are not cheap. However, you get your cake and eat it too here. Their tattoos are not cheap, however, you can't ignore the incredible value this place gives for their quality of work. I love Tommy, he's a great guy I've been visiting him since I was a kid walking by the shop itching for the day I could get my first piece done. They take care of their customers, they're clean, they're friendly and most and foremost, GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO! I have personally taken and referred many a many of people to this studio, I would highly reccomend this shop to ANY and EVERYONE!
