I just got my eyebrows done yesterday and it was amazing! Cindy is the best! she listens to you and draws on ur eyebrows before tattooing them. She puts numbing cream about 20 minutes before she starts the procedure so you don't feel any pain. I have my re-touch appointment scheduled next month already and i can not wait! I feel more confident with my new brows!!! Thanks to Cindy!
Review Source:Found Cindy when I noticed my girlfriend's eyebrows on a recent girls' outing and visit in Los angeles. She was fully booked, but accomodated me (I had no appointment) since I am from the bay area and had to fly back the next day. I am so happy with the results! Its true! Its great to have eyebrows when you wake up in the morning! I save time and effort getting ready in the morning, where it can be very hectic trying to get my 2 boys ready and to get them to school on time. I am one of those people who doesn't go out without some make- up, especially eyebrows! :)
Cindy has a great personality. She is friendly, warm, and takes her time to really analyze your face, and then makes recommendations on what will work with your face. But most importantly, she will listen and follow what eyebrow shapes, or look YOU want.
I flew back yesterday to Los Angeles for my touch up appointment, and had my mom's eyebrows done by Cindy too! Â Mom is turning 75 and I decided to give her the gift of not having to draw her eyebrows. She looks great, and, we are both very happy with the result. I will definitely go back to Cindy again ( and again) for maintenance.
Lastly, Erica, the receptionist, and Cindy's assistant are also just fabulous!! Thanks ladies!!:)

Had my eyebrows done a few weeks ago and theres not much change to them other than the arch has been lifted and they are GREY! I'm not sure why as I expected them to be dark brown. Â I'm hoping my hair will grow in that area to cover the grey. Â I was really excited to have my eyebrows done but unfortunately they did not turn out as I expected.
Review Source:I HAVE EYEBROWS WHEN I GET OUT OF THE SHOWER!!!
After hours and hours of researching other permanent makeup "artists" and being mortified by horror stories, I finally found Cindy. All other sites have very few pics and half of them look terrible. The other Yelp reviews are half great and half bad and you can tell that the good reviews are mostly family members. Cindy's pics show how amazing her work is, and her reviews speak for themselves.
I can't tell you how much my self confidence has seriously gone up now that I have permanent eyebrows. I don't have to spend all the time drawing them on and constantly worrying about them smudging, smearing, or coming off. I actually went swimming the other day in front of people without fear of having no eyebrows. I also let people see me without makeup now because eyebrows honestly make that big of a difference.
I went in thinking I was drawing mine perfectly... but Cindy suggested I let her try drawing one and see what I think... well... OF COURSE Cindy's brows looked WAAAAY better than what I was drawing on. Cindy is a MASTER at what she does. Her permanent work looks much more natural then drawing them with pencil because she carefully marks every single hair stroke.
I am BEYOND happy with my new eyebrows and am treating my mother to a pair of her own. Numerous friends of mine will also be going to Cindy now after seeing what a great job she did on me. GO TO CINDY!!!
Helpful hint: When you get work done there you can't get the area wet for 4 days... so wash your hair right before you go.
Cindy is my eyebrow savior!
I got my brows done almost a year ago and the only regret I have is that I didn't get them done sooner.
I've always had thin, sparse brows my whole life (thanks to my mom's genes). It would take me for-eh-ver to pencil them in every morning, and let me tell you, oily skin + drawing in your eyebrows = terrible combination. I would have to "refresh" my brows like every other hour. Oh joy...
I finally hear about "natural" eyebrow tattooing and after seeing results and reading positive testimonies, my research for finding the right person to do "the job" began. There were a few places/people near me who provided the service, but Cindy's work definitely stood out. After the initial consultation, I was pretty positive that she was "the one"!
Cindy is one of the sweetest and most patient people I've ever met. I mean, I couldn't decide what shape eyebrows I wanted (thick, thin, high- or low-arched), so she drew a TON of different styles on me until I found one I really liked. The process was smooth sailing and nearly painless. She applies a local anesthetic cream and you wait for about 20 minutes. I didn't even know she started the process--I thought she was plucking out stray hairs or something. Depending how long the tattooing takes, the cream might start to wear off and you will be able to feel some pain, but it's not that bad--just think about how awesome your brows will look when they're done!
Anyway, I can ramble on and on, but I'd rather not bore you half to death, so I'll end this review here... but before I do ;) check out my 'after' in the photos (shortly after they were done). A year later, they're still looking great!
Oh, my GOODNESS!! I was Extremely Skeptical and Scared to have my eyebrows done. I had never heard of semi-permanent eyebrows. Anyway, I have seen people with horrible tattooed eyebrows and I completely thought that my eyebrows might look fake. My girlfriend told me about Cindy and her work. Still I was not sure. I had my eyebrows done today and I was Completely shocked at how natural they look. I thought that the strokes of eyebrow hair that Cindy was going to add to my eyebrows might look fake and unnatural, but I was Completely wrong. The eyebrows look sooooo real, even in the sunlight!! Thank you so much, Cindy!! Also, thank you, Elizabeth "G", for telling me about Cindy.

Just came back from my second appointment with Cindy, and I am so pleased with my eyebrows! Sounds ironic, but having semi permanent eyebrows actually looks more natural than trying to powder/pencil them in. They are super dark when first done, but then then gradually fade, so don't freak out.
I think keeping up with the latest beauty trends is just as, or even more important than fashion trends. The trend now is full and shapely eyebrows. Ladies, you don't have to live with your 1990s high school sharpie eyebrows anymore! Time to get with the times and look younger with fuller brows.
Cindy is really sweet and informative about beauty trends. Spending $300 on my brows was totally worth the investment. I even feel like I look better with less makeup with my new brows.
I am from San Jose, CA, and drove all the way to Los Angeles today (7 hour trip) just to see Cindy after reading the reviews from here. As you grow older, you start to realize how dang important eyebrows are. I was born with very little hair on my eyebrows so I always felt like an alien. I always drew them in with pencil or used brow powder and have been doing this for years.
This has always meant no swimming, no water rides, taking a super long time to draw my eyebrows right in the morning, no sweating too much at the gym, no touching my face, changing VERY carefully in fitting rooms to make sure my eyebrows are still there, and having to be extremely careful not to leave eyebrow make up on my pillow at sleep overs. Any of you feel my pain here?? This was ruining my life guys. Â :-(
To skip to the best part: After Cindy was finished, she asked me to take a look in the mirror and my very first impression was: "Ohhh my god..... I HAVE EYEBROWS.. this is perfect, I feel awesome!" I was sooo happy, I wasn't even sure how to react. I booked this appointment a month ago and have been so anxious and excited about it for the longest time. I was very nervous all the way there, but when I was in the room with Cindy, she was so kind and reassuring. She assured me that I had nothing to worry about.
She comes off as confident, understanding, and very experienced. All three are an excellent combo. You can tell right away she's a pro at what she does because she's able to analyze and notice details and things about your facial structure that you (or at least I) didn't even know about.
It was as if at first glance, she knew right away what would suit me. Cindy got to work right away and drew on shapes to see which one I liked and also kindly asked me if I had any suggestions. She makes sure you are satisfied during the consultation and then the rest of the procedure goes by faster than you would expect.
The tattooing part was bearable and didn't hurt so much because of the numbing cream. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and I really appreciated that. It only took about 15 minutes and my life was saved. I feel happy and pretty. :-)
Seriously though, I drove 7 hours to get my eyebrows done by Cindy, and let me tell you, it was definitely worth it. She truly is an artist because she pays such great attention to detail, and she seems to really value customer satisfaction. She's a genuine person and I admire her skills and professionalism. Â I am looking forward to my 2nd treatment in a month. (:
I had my brows done several months ago. They still look great! Â Initially I thought the price was kind of expensive. Â After having them done and touched up I am MORE THAN PLEASED with the results. Â It's taken a long time for me to write this review, but I didn't want to wait any longer to let all the customers and potential customers know what a GREAT job Cindy does. Â It was worth EVERY penny. Â I'm a dark skinned Black man with awesome eyebrows by Cindy.
Review Source:Perfect reviews on yelp don't lie! Â I just had my appt with Cindy this morning and can say that she really deserves her 5 star rating. Â Cindy is kind, humble, and gentle. Â She is extremely professional and has a great hand. Â
But first things first, this place is booked up way in advance. Â I had to book my appointment a month ahead. Â I have to say though the wait is well worth it. Â I only just got my eyebrows done and I'm already in love with them. Â I had the typical thin eyebrows like everyone else who went through that fad in the late 90s/early 2000. Â I've been wanting to redo my eyebrows forever but I've had a BAD permanent makeup experience before and was scared. Â I decided to give it another try and did my research this time. Â And I am so glad I did!
Here's how the appt works:
1. Check in with the receptionist, sit and fill out the new client form.
2. Meet with Cindy and do consultation. Â This is where you tell her what you want and she draws your eyebrows. Â Cindy really studies your face and looks at the symmetry and bone structure and draws the eyebrows that best fit your face. Â And she explains her though process very thoroughly. Â I was really impressed with just how observant she was. Â After just a few minutes with me she noticed things about my face structure that even I didn't know about! Â She then draws your eyebrows and puts numbing cream on.
3. You wait in the waiting room while the numbing cream sets in -- about 20-30 min.
4. Cindy's assistant calls you in and she does something to "open up your skin" (her words) and puts on some more numbing cream. Â I'm not exactly sure what she did but it sounded like some scraping but you won't feel it b/c of that numbing cream.
5. Cindy comes in to do your eyebrows (just about 5 minutes after the assistant does her thing, so not too long of a wait). Â The actual tattoo part doesn't hurt too badly because of the numbing cream. Â You'll hear a scraping sound (I assume that's how she gets the tattoo to look like hair strokes) Â and it mostly doesn't hurt. Â There are some areas that are more sensitive than others and she'll warn you when she goes there. Â The tattoo part only takes about 15ish minutes. Â And she'll tell you how to take care of them while they're healing. Â (No water on eyebrows for 4 days.)
6. You pay with the receptionist up front (cash or check only, $300) and schedule your touch-up session for a month later.
I was super impressed with Cindy's professionalism and her bedside manner. Â She totally put me at ease. Â I will be recommending her to all my friends!
Five stars? Please....this lady can't be measured by the meager yelp guidelines. She is an artist. She understands faces and features and what looks as if it just belongs on your face. The consultation involved Cindy acknowledging my crooked nose (lol) and drawing perfectly shaped and colored brows that looked better than the ones nature gave me. Her method isn't entirely painless, but the numbing cream helps and the stinging fades pretty fast. She uses a little flat blade/knife, dips it in ink, and draws little strokes for a natural 3D look. It's seriously the coolest thing. I am only four hours since getting it done and it doesn't hurt at all now. The cost is $300 which, after comparing prices, seems entirely reasonable, especially after considering how good the work is and how pleasant she is as a person. I also found out that upper lashes cost $350, lower lashes are $250, and full lips are $700. The eyebrows consist of two sessions (not sure if the other makeup does); first is consultation and tattoo, the second is touch up. Since it's hard to predict how it will look after the healing process (depending on skin type, pigmentation, etc), the touch up session is free and you can request your brows darker, longer, whatever. I can't wait to see the final result and so far, I expect it to be amazing. Thanks Cindy, the nose and I are very happy!
Review Source:I love Cindy! She is so sweet and so patient. She listens to your concerns and make sure you leave happy. I've been raving to my friends about her work and my friends love my eyebrows. Â I made a point to drive from Orange County for her because of the amazing reviews and they're all so accurate. Â Needless to say, I'm a customer for life! Â Thank you Cindy! I'll see you in December!
Review Source:Not only is Cindy amazing in what she does, her service is amazing! Â She is a great artist who can see what will look good on you, but most important, she will do whatever it takes to make you happy with great results. Â She is so accommodating, and cares greatly about her clients. Â Cindy is really a true professional, and so good at what she does!! Would highly recommend her.
Review Source:Cindy cares about her clients! Results came out great...
Beware* Eyebrow tattoo will look very dark for the first 3-4 days... after about 1 week, the scabs will naturally come off and the color will soften in.
The only negative is you have to wait even though you made an appointment. However, it's only due to the fact that she's thoroughly helping & making sure her client before is 100% satisfied.
Cindy deserves a 5 star plus review. She is warm and friendly. Her studio is small, clean, and comfortable. Her work is meticulous. My eyebrows are still a little too light after two visits. I will have my second
visit for my upper and lower lashes next week. The procedure on my brows were a little uncomfortable, not painful. The eyeliner tattooing was
painful....not bad enough not to return for my second visit. I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend Cindy.
I had very light and very thin eyebrows and penciled them in for years, so I was excited when I found out about Cindy. I got my eyebrows tattooed yesterday and I love them. I go back in about a month for my second treatment and I think they will look absolutely perfect after that.
Cindy does great work and is very professional and likable. Her office is comfortable and she offers you drinks as you wait. When she was giving me my consultation, she asked me what kind of eyebrow shape I wanted and spent ample time drawing them to my liking. I didn't care for the first shape she drew and she didn't act irritated that I want her to redraw the shape and adjust it a few times. She is patient and does not make you feel rushed. I also liked that Cindy provided her opinion as to what would look nice for my face shape without being pushy or judgmental.
After you choose the shape you want, she applies numbing cream to your eyebrows. My numbing cream had about 20 minutes to set in since she was with another client, but I am glad since I have a low pain tolerance.
Next, you go into the back part of the office where she has you lay on this bed and her assistant puts in the base color. I didn't even realize she was doing that since I only felt pressure and no pain. I thought she was cutting my natural eyebrow hair. Ha.
Cindy will have you check to see if you like the overall shape and then have you move to another bed where she applies the hair strokes to the eyebrow. She uses this little knife looking tool, but again it didn't hurt. I could feel it dragging on my face while she made small talk to keep my nerves down, but I couldn't feel any pain or stinging.
Once I was finished she had me check her work and I asked if they could be a little longer. She happily fixed them for me and was really nice about everything.
When I was finished and ready to pay (she accepts checks and cash only), she explained how to apply the ointment and told me I was welcome to call with any questions.
Cindy is thorough and very good at what she does. All of my friends are shocked that my eyebrows are tattooed since they look so natural! I highly recommend Cindy to anyone who is nervous about getting their eyebrows (or other permanent makeup) done since she is so patient and sweet. The whole procedure took about an hour since she had another client ahead of me, but the tattooing took about 30 minutes.
I LOOOOOVE CC Permanent Makeup. Cindy and her assistant are SWEETHEARTS! Cindy was extremely patient with me and made sure to get the shape that would best fit my face. After seeing my eyebrows EVERYDAY it was hard for me to notice what needed to be fixed but Cindy not only makes sure to find a shape to flatter your face but she also pays attention to the anatomy of your face to ensure that it will be even. I highly recommend her to anyone thinking of getting permanent make-up. I sat in 2 hours of traffic to get to her...as much as I HATE traffic...she made it completely worth it!
Review Source:This review has been long over due. I went to CC Permanent Makeup in early September, to get my eyebrows tatted. Let me begin by saying that CINDY IS AMAZING! Before I went to Cindy, I spent hours after hours in the restroom drawing in my eyebrows (I had little to no eyebrows) .She is a total life savior because she saved me so much time. When I tell people my eyebrows are tatted people don't believe me, she is that good!
Review Source:Cindy is consistently amazing. this is my second year driving up to her from san diego.
almost every girl i know spends precious minutes in the morning filling in eyebrows, but since my eyebrows are so light, i started in the sixth grade. its hard to draw them consistently with the same thickness and shape, and you have to worry about rain, swimming, etc. ugh
My first visit was around a year ago when i was referred by a close friend. I saved the 300$ and trusted her to fill in my eyebrows semi-permanently. Â i was absolutely panicked a year ago, and i sat in her office for probably 2 hours and looked at a million photos. i held the mirror up to watch her every movement. i was really scared that my eyebrows would turn into the ugly green outdated-shaped eyebrows that a lot of korean ahjummas have, but it turned out perfectly.this year, i trusted her absolutely and was not disappointed.I AM HER CUSTOMER FOR LIFE BECAUSE IM CONVINCED THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO ONE BETTER. Each stroke looks like a real eyebrow hair and its hard to realize that the eyebrow is tattooed even from up close. Cindy is artistic and helpful in determining the shape that best fits your age, style, face shape etc. the best thing is that the semi permanent makeup only lasts around a year, so you are free to go for a different shape next year. (starting from the second year, its only 150$.) people who know eyebrows know that there are trends. poor ahjummas who have the semi circle look permanently tattooed on their faces.
what to expect: everything is over in less than an hour. she draws on your face and you approve the shape. you lay on the bed and she puts stuff on your eyebrows and takes a pencil looking (knife?) thing and draws on your face. you dont feel anything. it doesnt hurt after. its really a very light tattoo, if its even that. you can do anything youd like. you cna go to work. you can drive. its only very slightly red. Like Mimi said below me, dont panic after the first visit. It takes a couple days for it to settle and look more natural.
my mom is looking to make her first appointment with her soon. go to cindy. you will not be disappointed!
I was born with eyebrows. I was actually born with rather decent eyebrows and have managed to avoid plucking them into oblivion (well, except for that one time in 8th grade, but they grew back so its cool... right?).
But I like thick eyebrows. Thick, well arched things of beauty. My desired eyebrows can be accheived with an eyebrow pencil and 5 minutes. But, I was running through my favorite MAC eyebrow pencil with an annoying quickness.
One day my pencil ran out and I thought... I wish I could just get my eyebrows permanently done like this. On that impulse, I shopped around for pricing and read yelp reviews to find the best eyebrow artist in the area. I am OBSESSED with eyebrows, and definetely had a "I don't care what this costs, as long as the artist is capable of quality work". I mean, who wants to cheap out on a tattoo on their face?
Lucky for me, I found Cindy who only wants $300 cash and I amazingly got an appointment the next day. I drove to Korea Town and was pleasantly surprised to find a really large parking lot in the back. As I was walking in the builidng, I realized that I hadn't even told this woman I was African American. If you are using ink, the skin color is useful information. I walked in fully prepared to talk with her and discuss coming back another day.
Cindy greeted me with open arms. She offered me something to drink and eat. I passed but the offer was extremely thoughtful. She was bubbly and kind and I liked her instantly. We talked about my process of putting on make-up in the morning and I explained I wanted thick "Kim Kardashian brows". Â Cindy probably took an hour with me drawing my eyebrows with a pencil. I wanted this, I wanted that, straight here, lower here... She was incredibly patient and I was being incredibly picky and precise.
Once we got the shape down, she applied numbing cream to my eyebrows and I waited 15 minutes in her comfy waitroom (bring magazines) while the cream set in. We met back, she wiped the cream off my already numbed brows and started tattooing away. It didn't hurt. Because I wanted such THICK brows it took her a little longer than normal and the cream started to wear off. It started to hurt but once she saw me wince she put more cream on, and it went back to really not hurting that much at all.
When we were done, I was terrified. My eyebrows were these incredibly dark, incredibly thick (albeit well shaped) things. Not the "hair stroke" artistry I came for. I really wish I had read about this in a review. She told me my eyebrows would become lighter and more natural looking over time, but these things looked terrible. I wanted to cry! Â At work the next day my ever so lovely coworkers (not really) commented/giggled that my eyebrows were like "jazz hands" and "very in their face!" I was miserable and really had a "this is what I've done to my face moment" several times.
However, within a few days, they calmed down. And they were actually very nice. Within a month, they were calmer, and even nicer. I went back for my touch- up visit (you go twice and Cindy recommends within 2 weeks) and she spent a lot of time just perfecting them. I had jazz hands eyebrows again, but I knew what to expect this time and didnt freak out. I took care of them as instructed. Soon, they looked like I had penciled them on with perfection that morning, type appearance. Within a few weeks, they became even nicer. It has now been several months and my eyebrows look incredibly natural yet incredibly well arched/shaped/etc. I love them. I actually get complimented on mt eyebrows regularly from other women. When I explain that they are tattoed people are always surprised... they just look so natural. I am a customer of Cindy's for life. She does great work.
When these eyebrows fade in 1 -4 years (depending on life style she explains) I will certainly be back. Repeat customers get a discount off their future visits.
After reading all the reviews on Yelp, I decided to give CC Permanent Makeup a try. I'm not really a fan of putting on makeup, nor am I good at it, which is the main reason of why I decided on getting my eyebrows done here. I have been in twice already and I must tell you that the procedure is relatively painless -and I have a zero tolerance when it comes to pain. Right when you walk in you are given numbing crème on your brows and then once you're numbed, Cindy draws an outline of your brows however you like them and proceeds to drawing it with the permanent ink. Once the procedure is done it the wound starts to sting a bit, but it's very tolerable; like they say, "No pain, no gain." Anyway, my skin is pretty "tough" so the color wasn't staying onto it as much as I'd like, so normally you're given 2 visits for an eyebrow appointment, but Cindy made an exception for a third visit just to make sure that it's done right. Cindy seems very knowledgeable of what's she's doing and is very good at making you comfortable throughout your visit as well as the procedure. I am also going in for the upper lid eyeliner since I'm very happy with Cindy's work. I will update this review once my procedures are complete. I recommend coming here if you're considering permanent makeup.
Review Source:Came to Cindy after seeing my friend's spankn new tattooed eyebrows and I instantly wanted them too!
Cindy's really nice and she knows what she's doing. She'll draw in your eyebrows with a shape that matches how you look and you can always let her know what you like or don't like and she'll do it for ya!
Eyebrows were $300 and that pays for your first and second visit. SO IT'S SUPER WORTH IT!
Don't be scared to get your eyebrows done because she puts numbing cream on ya, so its painless.
Just don't go anywhere..just call Cindy!!
Cindy is the best!! Â I am so happy with the results!! i could not have asked for better. it looks the way I would have it when I put my makeup on. she did a great job with the shape - it's better than what I did myself. Like other reviewers have said she really listens to what you want and takes your lifestyle into account as she helps you decide on the shape of the brow. She's an experienced pro. She knows what she's doing.
I've always been self conscious about the shape of my eyebrows - the lack of shape really - it was like the last 1/3 at the corners was missing so I always had to draw it in. I was self conscious about working out at the gym or doing water sports because the eyebrow makeup would wipe off - aweful.
I just got back from an 8 day adventure in Costa Rica. I went white water rafting, kayaking, swimming at waterfalls, swimming in the ocean as well as zip lining and horseback riding. As far as the water sports, I didn't have a care in the world about my eyebrows. They always looked perfect. Awesome!
I highly recommend Cindy!
I'm going back to Cindy to get my eyeliner done.
She is not the cheapest but I'm certain she is the best. She takes her time to get to know you and your face! She is so sweet and kind, to boot! I mean why would you go to the cheapest when it comes to something as important as your face? Isnt it worth the extra money to go to someone who not only GENUINELY cares for your satisfaction but is an expert at what they do?
I went to Cindy with the new trendy fobby korean eyebrow in mind. Although my mother would have loved for me to get this shape, I am not a fob korean who lives in LA. She listened and observed how i dress, who i hung out with and what i wanted. She gave me a few choices and perfected the shape at the followup appointment. (I also did my top eyelid eyeliner and OMG IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!! TRust me ladies, its worth the pain and extra money. ) After a week after the color faded a bit I still wasn't 100% satisfied and she made another followup appointment for me to come in to make sure i was happy. To put a long story short its the eyebrow shape she first recommended me to get -_-
Listen to Cindy. Your opinion on what shape you were looking for, as valid as it is, she knows what shape best suits your face and style.
I really do believe she is an expert in her field and her happiness comes from making people look their best. so don't waste your money going to another person and having cindy fix it. Go to Cindy first!
Cindy is hands down the best in this industry. I'm a very picky person so I did A LOT of research before I decided to get my eyebrows done by Cindy. I read a lot of good reviews about Sherri and Lisa but decided to go with Cindy because of the quality of her reviews and not the quantity.
I do not regret my decision one bit. She is the sweetest lady I ever met!
She sat down with me and listened to all my concerns and needs. She then took her time drawing in my eyebrows and of course got it perfect her first try.
She MAKES SURE you like your results. If not, she won't let you leave until you do.
I loved my results and Cindy will always be my go-to!
Cindy is an expert! I searched through hundreds of eyebrow tattoo artists before settling on Cindy based initially on her Yelp reviews. During the consultation she made me feel very comfortable and although I had an idea of what I wanted she knew my face better than I did and was able to explain why the shape of the brow she drew on matched the contours of my face. Ive already done my touch up and am very happy with the results and how real they look. I would recommend her to my closest friends and family without hesitation. Cindy thanks for saving me 30 minutes of my life everyday, I wish I had done this years ago.
Review Source:After going to Sherri Permanent Makeup, I was not satisfied with the way my eyebrows turned out. It started fading tremendously within a month and she was not able to do brown because she said it will turn red. I was stuck with blonde hair and black eyebrows. Eek!
I called CC, spoke to Cindy and told her my situation. She told me she would like to see me first. I ended up having to laser some of it off to make it more brown, but I am very happy with the outcome. They look like real hairstrokes and I really like the fact that she listens to what you want. At first, she drew more of a "fob style" eyebrow and when I told her I wanted a little more arch, she had no problem redrawing until it was exactly what I wanted.
Pros & Cons
-Can do ALL colors- No brown fading to red.
-Has laser removal there in case you want to erase anything or redo.
-Draws before. No freehand!
-NUMBING CREAM! Sherri doesn't numb you and it hurt like a @#$%$! Felt no pain with this. I even had to ask her if she had started.
-Can speak English.
Can't really think of any cons... Even parking is free in their lot and Cindy is such a sweetheart. Oh, she doesn't accept credit cards, just cash or check. She also takes a lot longer then Sherri, but I think that's better. I didn't feel rushed at all.
Fyi- she has TONS of pictures. Ask to see them. To show my gratitude, I uploaded a few for her but she has hundreds if not, more.
Im so happy I chose CC Permanent Makeup. Cindy was great, so patient and considerate of my opinion. She is well experienced, after consulting I was convinced I came to the right permanent makeup artist. I am very pleased with the work she did on my eyebrow and I am looking forward to the eyeliner next! I highly recommend! Cindy is the one!
Review Source:Cindy has both talent and a great bedside manner.
I had an eyebrow tattoo, this is the third time I have had this procedure in the past fifteen years. Â My first visit to Cindy, her technique and color is exceptional.
Highly recommended, well worth the drive from the south bay to her office.
What can i say other than IF YOU WANT SEMI PERMANENT NATURAL LOOKING EYEBROWS, DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. GO TO CINDY!!!
Everything the previous yelpers say about Cindy is all true! she is super patient, and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are completely happy and satisfied with her work.
I did both my eyes and eyebrows and it is sure worth every penny! Â she is slightly more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for people!!
she is an artist and understands shapes that will enhance your features in a natural way!!
I went to CC Permanent Makeup to have a few freckles removed last week, and was astonished that coming in right after me was a young lady that was having some freckles put on -- Cindy can do everything! Â She is humble, so sweet, and such a nice person; you'd never know by looking at her that she wields such beautiful magic;)
Cindy is so talented, and every time I look at my clear skin (not to mention my eyebrows that don't wash off lol), I thank her. Â Whether for eyebrows or any of your other permanent makeup or cosmetic needs, she's the one to go to. Â You'll make a friend, leave her office prettier than you were when you walked in, enjoy your experience, and your wallet won't suffer.
I previously had a horrible experience with semi-permanent eyebrows in Korea and spent a lot of time and money lasering them off. After 3 years I decided to try and see if I could get them done. Â
I only met with Cindy for a consultation so I can't speak to her work- however the two girls who just got their eyebrows done seemed really happy and took forever to leave because they were chatting so much. (I guess that's a good sign) I met with Sherri (also in K town) as well but she wouldn't show me or try drawing my eyebrows because she stressed that "freehand is best." In comparison, Cindy spent almost an hour with me drawing different eyebrow styles and even showing me how my eyeliner could be changed. She has a great bedside manner and seems to work and try to explain what will work best- what won't work, etc. I still haven't decided whether or not I can go through with it because I am so traumatized from my experience in Korea but I definitely think Cindy is good at what she does and has a great bedside manner.
Cindy is absolutely amazing!!!!! I was planning on going to Sherri because she had so many reviews but was also very reluctant to go to someone who doesn't draw in the shape before tattooing so you can't see how it's going to look. THANK GOD! I am VERY VERY VERY particular about my eyebrows so I would have probably ended up skinning my tattoos off if I went to her lol.
Anyway, I initially did not like the shape that Cindy had drawn so I asked her to redraw them 4-5 times because we had different ideas on how my eyebrows should look. She was super beyond patient and gave me her professional advice without being condescending or snotty. The appointments usually last 1 hour and mine took 2 -- that's how picky I am! She also tattooed my eyebrows a little lighter and thinner because you can always add more color and thickness and she wanted to make sure I got exactly what my picky ass wanted :) And on top of all that she called me a week later to make sure that I liked the shape!! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
My follow-up appointment is next week so I'll update my review after that, but I definitely recommend going to Cindy. Not only is she great at what she does, she takes pride in her work and really wants to make sure that the customer is 100% happy. It also doesn't hurt that she is super personable, friendly and funny -- I had the best time chatting with her during my appointment!
And for those that think that $300 is high, it's really not. Other places typically charge $500+ so I was stoked when I found Cindy for $300. My friend paid $700 for hers and they look kinda crappy :x
So glad I found Cindy. For many years I've been drawing my eyebrows and got tired of it recently since by the end of the day it wears out. I found Cindy on Yelp and called her. She picked up and told me was in Korea. Yes, she was on vacation in Korea and still picked up my call and explained to me the procedure! What a nice lady! Very sincere, very warm, and very approachable. She booked me into her calendar. I waited a month until she came back and do not regret it. it was worth the wait.
Her office was a bit hard to find since it's in seems to be empty building. The numbers are a bit off too so you'll assume you're int he wrong place. Her office is located in the back. You go in, turn right, and it's on the very end of the small hallway on the right.
Like other yelpers says, she's not pushy at all. My appointment was an hour but it was 1.5 instead since we were trying to figure out my shape. She's very patient with you and will take her time understanding what you want.
My brows were dark on day 1 but day 3 it was getting lighter and I liked it a lot. Got a lot of compliments that it looks natural and some friends didn't believe I got them tatted. It was THAT natural. Getting my 2nd visit next week and I can't wait. Cindy is great and I'm so glad I waited for her to come back from vacation. $300 was a bit expensive but it was well worth it!
10 years ago I had my eye brows permanently tattooed. Â The first place i went to did a bad job. Â The tattooed brows turned blue and the shape was from the 1920's. Â After a few years of dealing with it...my sister suggested CC. Â She had her brows, eye-liner, and lip-liner done and was very happy with it. Â So I went to get a consultation. Â Cindy saw my brows and knew from the start who did them. Â After the consultation I decided to get them done. Â She first had to tattoo over the blue brows with a nude colored ink and than reshape them. Â It was a two step/visit process but in the end I was more than happy with them, Â Since then I've had my eye liner done as well. Â Yesterday I went and had my brows and liner retouched...
I would recommend CC to all my friends because I trust Cindy's work. Â She customizes every tattoo to compliment each client's facial bone structure and shape.
Thank you Cindy!
Having heard many stories from friends and family members on the subject of eyebrow disasters, I had long put off doing my eyebrows.
One day, I looked into the mirror, and told myself I have to do something with those brows. I had a set of eyebrows that would look really great...on a guy.
I'm so glad I met Cindy. She was warm, friendly, and professional.
Not doing anything dramatic, she tidied up my bushy eyebrows and changed my look.
Little did I know how doing your eyebrows could make you look much, much better.
Cindy is very honest, and she will not force you to do something unnecessary.
If you don't know what to do with your eyebrows or with your look, Â just set up an appointment and talk to her. She will have great suggestions.
I've been searching for place to get myself a good pair of eyebrows for a while now. After researching many many places, I finally decided to drive all the way from Vegas to come give Cindy a visit. Definately worth the drive!! She's attentive, talented, and you'll be leaving here extremely satisfied. Everywhere I went, I've gotten compliments on my brows. I can't imagine any other place I'd go for my eyebrows now.
Review Source:I wanted to get semi-permanent eyebrows done and did lots of research. Â This place had the best reviews and i visited for consultation. Â As soon as you walk in to this place, you can tell Cindy's style by decoration and interior. Â Within 5 min of consultation, i was confident to get my eyebrows done and she was able to do it right there. Â She put the white cream on my eyebrows and wait for 3 min asking me what I want, etc. Â She's very professional and got mine done in 15 mins total. Â Her style is being natural so she asked for me to come back after two weeks. Â It came out sooooo natural and pretty. Â On 2nd & 3rd visit, if you request change of shape or color, she'll do it for you. Â I already liked the shape, color and her service so there was nothing to request of her. Â I am very happy about what i got and wanted to share this information with yelp.
Review Source:I've researched numerous locations before deciding on CC Permanent Makeup. A few of my friends also recommended Cindy after they have done their eyebrows. She was so nice and she knew exactly what I wanted and needed.
I was a bit afraid that the procedure would be painful. However, I hardly felt any pain and it healed up really quick. My eyebrows look so natural and I'm very happy with it! Â I will recomend this place to anybody who is thinking about getting permanent makeup. Cindy is the best!
Cindy is the best! Â I've had my eyebrows done many times before but Cindy was the first artist to actually listen to what I wanted.. She really took her time to listen to what I wanted and she thoroughly explained what she was going to do. Â The other artists I had gone to before (Sherri was the last) Â rushed me in and out in 10 minutes and my eyebrows came out completely crooked! Â Cindy corrected my eyebrows and was super sweet and exceptional.
Review Source:I love my new eyebrows!! Cindy was super friendly and very professional. She really took time to consult me before she went ahead with the tattoo. Since I don't wear too much makeup in general and don't have a lot of knowledge about applying makeup, she talked me through the basics of how different eyebrow/eye line shapes affect your face. She was very attentive and made me feel really comfortable. After the consultation, the procedure was pretty quick and relatively painless. Now, 5 days after the tattoo, my eyebrows look very natural. I highly recommend Cindy! :)
Review Source:Cindy is amazing. If you are at all thinking about getting permanent makeup, you will not regret going to Cindy.
When I decided I wanted to get permanent makeup done for my eyebrows, I did extensive research and looked up places all around Orange County and Los Angeles. Â I narrowed down to a few places and went in for consultations.
Not to say negative things about other businesses, but the other artists I consulted just did not show the same attentiveness as Cindy. In particular, when I visited her other popular competitor in Koreatown (Sherri), I felt rushed and unvalued as a customer--she barely spent 2 minutes on me and was busy scheduling other clients while I sat waiting. Â Furthermore, during the time I had scheduled for the consultation, it turned out that she had another client that she had double booked. Â She didn't spare me a second glance as I awkwardly made my way out--I figured my "consultation" was over when she walked over to her new client...
When I went to Cindy's, I immediately felt like she cared about me. Â First off, she spent over 30 minutes on me for my consultation. Â My sister went with me with no intention of getting her brows done, but Cindy even took time to answer her questions too. Â She was really attentive. Â She is such a kind and friendly woman and a very skilled artist. When you first get your brows doen, it looks a little dark right after, so I felt really uncertain once I got home and called Cindy panicking. Â She reassured me, met with me for a second and third touch up, called me more than once to check up on how I was feeling. Cindy really cares about you and works hard to make sure that you are fully satisfied. Â Even my boyfriend who was completely against this admits that my brows look fantastic (and super natural) now! Â For people who are still unsure, Cindy is amazingly skilled and has laser technology if you end up wanting slight edits after the first time you get your brows done. She is truly and artist!
Oh- her price is $300 for eyebrows & $300 for eyeliner. It may seem a little expensive, but you do NOT want to skimp on this and end up getting something that looks really fake and pasted on. Â In fact, my sister who went to someone else (because it was cheap-- $180) is now planning to go to Cindy to get hers fixed up and looking natural, just like mine!
I feel so very blessed to have found Cindy Choe (CC Permanent Makeup)! Â I have an impluse control disorder that generally results in sparse/nonexistent brows (and sometimes lashes :-/). Â The first time I got permanent make up (brows) was when visiting Beijing (2006) - I don't speak anything other than English, but I had a friend to translate/accompany me. Â It was hair stroke-style, I liked how it looked, but I was not around long enough for a 2nd appointment, and it didn't last very long.
After that faded, I went to a competitor in Ktown (early 2009 - it wasn't very easy to find people online at the time for some reason and this woman I found on some thread - message me if you want to know who), and had an overall negative and somewhat anxiety-inducing experience. Â No one there really spoke very good English, so communication was a problem. Â So obviously that didn't help anything. Â However, I was feeling self-conscious and a little desperate to do something about it. Â I didn't really know what I wanted shape-wise (I rarely wore make up and honestly didn't remember what my own brows looked like naturally - I was hoping to leave it to a professional). Â I felt they somewhat pushed me to go with something since the numbing cream was wearing off. This was not hair stroke, but rather the more solid fill that looks a little bit like Sharpie when it's fresh and for a few days. Â I freaked out because no one told me about this (and that it would fade)! Â Very traumatic.
Finally, I recently found myself feeling self conscious once again, and wanting to do something about it. Â I did consider the apparently-more-popular-on-Yelp Sherri as well, but really liked all the information on Cindy's page (which I believe is currently down because she's updating her pictures). Â I'm so glad I called Cindy! Â She is very professional and patient, very fluent in English (YAY!), and great about explaining what she recommends and why, and what she's doing as she works. Â She's also super sweet and I've been able to get appointments fairly quickly (depends on your schedule).
She is a bit of a perfectionist and is committed to making her clients happy. Â Initially, she was a little disappointed in the work of the last person who had worked on me rather than being able to start from scratch - but sometimes you just have to work with what you've got. Â Because we changed from a hair stroke to not strategy after my first visit, she included a 3rd touch up visit for me just to make sure that the color would take evenly and that I would be happy with it.
On a bit of a whim (maybe a week of considering it, but at the same time as the brows), I decided to get "eye definer" liner as well (in case my lashes are affected). Â I told Cindy what I wanted and that I wanted it to look as natural as possible, and she kept that in mind and gave me exactly what I wanted (didn't want to look like I was wearing eye liner). Â The guy I was dating (for like a year and a half) never noticed after nearly two months - although admittedly he wasn't the most observant guy out there. Â And actually, after my first appointment with the hair stroke eye brows, I carpooled with a friend in the afternoon (daylight) and told her that I'd just had an eyebrow appointment, and she said, "oh, threading?" Â So it looked good enough that sitting right next to her that my friend did not suspect permanent make up.
I believe her prices are at market - I paid $300 for brows and $350 for the eye liner.
I am very happy with Cindy's work and my experience with her. Â I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
(Also want to note that this is an old picture and is not representative of Cindy's work - hopefully her web site will be back up soon! As of 12-11-11, her gallery page is still active, just not the main page: http://www.ccpermanentma…)
I've been struggling with my eyebrows for the longest time and went to few of "KNOWN TOP PLACES" for consultation but Cindy was the most professional and friendly of all. She changed my whole look. I loved the way she made my eyebrows looks so natural and pretty. I got so much compliments after I got my eyebrows done. My life is so much easier now that I don't have to spend all my time trying to draw my eyebrows. Thanks Cindy!
