I was visiting Miami this past memorial day weekend and my friends and I were just looking around when we found Salvation. We went in inquired about some tattoo and piercing prices, talk to the guy at the front was super cool and helpful. The shop also had a fantastic ambiance. We left and looked at a few more tattoo shops on the street but I already knew I was getting my next tattoo at Salvation. A couple of days later I did just that. My friend and I both got tattoos done and we spent a few hours in there just talking to the staff. Everyone there was amazing! They were really friendly and insightful. Next time I'm in Miami I will definitely stop by. Thanks for the great service guys!
Review Source:I came here on a recommendation from a friend, who has really fantastic tattoos. I'm Chinese and I wanted my family name on my shoulder in simple black. All I had was a simple computer font version of my name, and the artist actually found a more stylized version of my name online, so after verifying that it was truly my name, I went with that. The place was very clean, which was my biggest concern as this was my first tattoo.
Also, the receptionist was very friendly, talking about her tattoos and about getting your first one. She tried to sell me their tattoo care products using pseudo-science, but I declined. The artist was pretty surly, but I want a professional to permanently mark my body not a new drinking buddy.
After 3 weeks now, I'm very happy with the results, the tattoo is clear and bright.
I do have to add they initially quoted me $200, but after telling them pirate tattoo next door was charging $100, they quickly accepted, so bargain with them!
I came in here to buy a retainer for my tongue ring. The girl at the counter was extremely nice and helpful but I paid $15 for a piece of plastic that I was expecting her to give me for free or $1 tops (They didn't have the right jewelry, I was desperate so bought a lip retainer.) Â I was shocked when she said $15. In any other store not on South Beach, it would have been free. I honestly have no idea about the artists or piercings here, but from that one experience I know I am never going there again and it's an over priced, tourist trap rip-off.
Review Source:This review is a bit late but Ive just started Yelping and well better late than never. Â Since it was my first vacation to Miami and my birthday, I wanted to do something fun with my friends. Â Ive always wanted to get my nipple pierced but never really got around to doing it. Â But with the help of my friends and nice staff it was breeze. Â
An Italian gentleman intially drew us in with an offer we couldnt resist. Â I decided that I Â would return closer to the end of my trip to have it done. Â When I returned the gentleman that gave us the price quote wasnt there but the staff still honored what I told them he said. Â My 2 friends decided to get piercings as well. Â
The person who did our piercings was a guy who went by the nickname Cracker. Â He was very friendly, and very helpful. Â He answered all our questions and even told us how he got started in the business. Â My one friend wanted her belly button but he noticed she had too much scarred tissue so he suggested she get the top of her belly button done and she went for it. Â We had such a great experience with Cracker! i recommend him to everyone!!
I've gone to this place for three tattoos. Â Each one was sloppy and the staff was rude and arrogant. Â My first was with Chris, who had the personality of a rock, so sitting with him for thre hours was sheer torture. Â Then I went back and they told me I needed to pay more to get his shoddy job fixed. Â The third time I went back, I wanted a half-sleeve; they quoted me a price more than any other place on SOBE (and even said I needed to pay MORE to touch up AGAIN the orginal simple tattoo!), and both the manager and the artist were arrogant, rude, and unhelpful. Never will make the same mistake again. Â Stay Away!!!!

Review Source:I went there with my 3 best friends to honor our friendship. The place is super clean and the staff is very friendly,we were greeted by the receptionist who was so helpful and very nice, then by one of the artist who was going to do our tattoos and he was a bit pricey and when we asked if he can give us a better deal he got very defensive and started boasting about how much money he makes and started complaining about changing needles and color which is why he couldn't go down on the price, and honestly you have change those things regardless so we didn't like his attitude at all unfortunately I don't remember his name but he's the German one.. Also we weren't asking for anything ridiculous. The guy we didn't like did do someone else tattoo while we were getting ours and he did do a great job, and another guy as well the whole staff is amazing with their artwork. So Horacio did our tattoos and he was so nice and sweet, and gave us advice since for many of us it was our first tattoo, he was very sterile and showed us everything in the packet. He was also very gentle and the tattoo didn't hurt one bit and it looked amazing. And he didn't boast about how much money he makes unlike the other guy. I would go back for other tattoos. Also we made our appointment earlier the same day.
Review Source:I never had any of my tattoo's done here but I seen an artists portfolio, and WOW, I have to say beautiful work. Yes, the tattoos here are not cheap, but they are totally worth it. You won't be just getting a tattoo here, you will be getting a piece of art on your body. I recommend this shop hands down if you are going to get a piece done in South Florida.
Everyone in the shop is super friendly and helpful, which is a big plus in my book. I have 3 piercings done here, (my septum, belly button, and lip), and the guy who did it took his time cleaning the area, and making sure everything was perfect, and did the actual piercing quick and it the pain was very minimal.
Everyone in the shop is very knowledgeable, and everyone in the shop has also been in the business for a long time and know what they are doing.
