I absolutely love Tron City and the Staff. I without hesitation recommend Travis to anyone who comments on how they like my tattoos. In fact, every person i've sent there raves about their new awesome piece of work, or new piercing.
Travis did my first tattoo when i turned 18; 5 years later he's the only one i will let tattoo me. With that being said, i've had a couple small tattoos done elsewhere(by friends or during a spontaneous tattoo adventure) but i always come back. YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET and Travis is well worth it.
Tron City is clean, professional, and most important - AWESOME!!!!
***Most people don't realize, you should TIP YOUR ARTISTS!!!!
What they do is hard work and a talent that should be appreciated.
My first 6 tattoos were done by an artist who moved out of state so it took me months to find another shop. I did research and found tron. When I went to the shop it was amazingly clean and the staff was friendly and had a great sense of humor. Travis did 2 tattoos for me and I couldn't be happier! The color is even and the lines are perfection! I can't wait to go back for my next one. I did recommend this shop to a friend who got a huge peice done on his forearm and he's thrilled with it.
Review Source:I would NEVER recommend getting a tattoo by anyone who works at this shop. I came in with a design that I wanted. The place was clean and the tattoo artist was friendly, but he did a terrible job. What I asked for was NOT EVEN CLOSE to what I got. I presented him with the picture and asked him if he was going to take the time to draw it up on the paper that transfers to your skin and he explained that he was just going to draw it on my neck and free hand it. The end result of my tattoo looked like Fred Flintstone had taken a massive sh** on my skin. I almost started bawling when I asked to take a sneak peek and saw what he permanently tattooed on my body. It looked so bad! I was so upset since he said he had been tattooing for 6 years. I honestly feel that my niece would have done a better job if she was handed the tattooing needle. When he was finished he tried to convince me that after it heals it will look how i wanted. It was not located where I wanted it and it was not ANYTHING like the picture. Even after it healed it looked God awful.  What upset me more is when I called the next day, I told him that it wasn't what I wanted and that it needed to be fixed he acted very surprised. I KNOW FOR A FACT HE KNEW IT WASN'T PORTFOLIO WORTHY. How can anyone call themselves an artist if they can't copy what they see? I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. And when I showed the tattoo artist the original picture he was baffled as to how the 1st guy could screw up so badly. If you find yourself thinking about getting a tattoo from Tron City I think you should reconsider and continue searching. Even as I got the  travesty some what fixed I wear my hair down since it's just a HUGE eye sore on my neck.
Review Source:Today I had the most pleasant tattoo experience of my life, all thanks to Tron City. The shop is super clean, comfortable, and everyone I've met there is really low key and nice. I had a super specific idea as to what I wanted, and Travis immediately drew up exactly what I had explained. The price was great, Travis was really quick and light handed, and the tattoo turned out amazing!
They just opened at the end of May, between my piece and another impressive piece a friend of mine got from the incredible Tony, we are definitely getting all our future work done here! Thanks Tony, Jared and Travis!
Forget SE Portland, it's nice to have a tattoo shop on the West Side that is clean, professional, and comfortable!
Quick ps, they also take credit/debit which I rarely see at tattoo shops, and is rad!
