Amazing customer service. Jon was great and very nice. As a walk-in I was a bit worries about being brushed off (past experiences) but Jon answered all my questioned, was very friendly and gave me the tattoo I wanted. The shop was clean, bright and very welcoming. Thank you to Jon and Fortune Cookie. This place is customer driven not money driven.
Review Source:A couple friends and I decided we wanted last minute tattoos to bond out friendship before they left town. Â I frantically called around to find a place that would take us and fortune cookie tattoo said they could. Great! Â My friend had sketched a few drawings for us but I clarified over the phone they we'd want some help designing the tattoos...of course was the response. Â When we arrived and the guy I talked to was sitting there ready for us. Â We showed him our ideas and he was ok with them, I personally asked if mine could be a bit smaller than the drawing (they were stick figures!) and he said it would be hard to get the detail in a small space...again! They are stick figures! Â Both friends went first and after seeing their tattoos I became more and more uncomfortable with this guy tattooing me... Â My turn! Â I asked for grey ink because that's what I wanted, he said I shouldn't do that. Â I get why, I really do, but I'm a discreet tattoo kind if person, I wanted something small and quiet. I got a giant ass black outline tattoo because he didn't want to get me what I wanted. He wanted to give me what was 'the best'. Â I also asked for one of the figures to be taller and he said "you know I was just following what you brought in" Â asshole! I told you we wanted help designing the tattoos... I went forward although so uncomfortable with it because both friends already had theirs... I'm left with a giant tattoo I hate, not because of the meaning but because of the actual tattoo and the artist, he left such a bad taste in my mouth. Â I think his name us Jon, an Asian guy. Â I wouldn't recommend him to anyone...anyone! Â Â I'm already saving to have this piece of shit removed from my body and its only been 4 days, I haven't 'shown the tattoo off' to anyone.
Review Source:I would give this place more then 5 stars if it were a option. I flew from Atlanta to get a Tattoo from Sherly. I had been checking out her amazing artwork and tattoos online for a couple months.
One of my friends has her tattoos all over him when I had asked who did them he said Sherly. She has a amazing energy very warm and kind of hard to describe but makes you feel like you have known her for many years.
She listens very closely and can it seems like almost pluck the images straight from your head even when you can not articulate them. I came in with a idea and left with a work of art. I was almost giddy when I saw my finished tat. She is not the first person I've had tattoo me but from here on out she will be the only one. I just got mine on Thursday last week and I'm already planning out my next one.
I just got my first tattoo here at Fortune Cookie with Sherley. I did a medium size piece on my right forearm that came out incredible. Sherley's experience really shows and the design I brought to her is identical to what is now on my forearm.
The atmosphere here is trendy and relaxing. Good music was playing throughout the session and I was able to chat with her and other artists. All-around a nice group.
The price was good for the time of the session and quality of work. I feel confident that the other artists are as good as Sherley and would recommend this shop to anyone who's interested.
Amanda was AMAZING. Light touch, phenomenal artwork, beautiful lines. I have FOUND my tattoo artist in Denver and I would recommend her to anyone. Fantastic job. My tattoo far exceeds all expectations I had for it and I only have Amanda to thank! Plus, she's cute as a button and fun and easy to talk to. Overall a tremendous experience - thank you Fortune Cookie and Amanda! :)
Review Source:My sister was in town, all the way from Alabama and while showing her downtown Denver we walked by Fortune Cookie Tattoo and figured it would rock to get a tattoo in order to remember her visit. As soon as we walked it, the artist said hello and asked if she could help us.
After she explained where the portfolios of all the artist in the shop were, we began searching through a ton of tattoo magazines and books around the shop but failing to find a design we could agree on,we noticed the time we almost decided it was too late to ask.....
The artist  (Amanda Gold) was completely awesome and and said it was not a problem and sat down and sketched out exactly what we each wanted.
An hour and a half later the both of us had our first tattoo we ever have gotten together!
Thanks for being so cool and patient not to mention friendly.
