I had a horrible time here, i came and got a threading and a Brazilian Sugaring, the threading and the sugaring hurt, a lot. I've had threading and sugaring done before in another place, but figure this was closer to me so i would try it out. BIG MISTAKE!! While she was "sugaring" me, it was very painful, and she caused me to bleed. She left hair in patches on me, my skin is red, swollen and painful to the touch. When i got home i saw wax on me and my undies, she used WAX after i told her i wanted the Sugaring. That's why it was painful and why all the hair didn't come off. Smdh, and charged me for a sugaring. The lady didn't use gloves. The lady was being rude, she said i was fat, and she needed tight skin. If i could give it no stars i would.
Review Source:This place converted me from waxing to threading.
Yes, some of the lower rate reviews are right - not the best customer service so I am taking away a star, but still, they do a great eye brow.
I do not need to be pampered as long as the work is good.
Here I am in and out (longest wait I ever had was 10 minutes even when it looks really busy)
My crazy bushy eyebrows are tamed and sculpted without much chit chat or pleasantries. Just taking care of business.
This place is just okay. I'm from out of town and went here for eyebrow threading based on the yelp reviews and its proximity to where I was staying. I only had to wait a minute before being seated. The chair backs are too short, so you have to awkwardly scoot down in the chair so your head can lean against the chair back. The threading hurt a bit more than the usual place I go to, but that's not a big deal. When she was done, I told her there were a couple areas I could still feel hairs, and she went over them again without complaining. The brows were slightly uneven but overall satisfactory.
Review Source:Amazing job and I will trek all the way up to the Upper East Side to continue to get these perfect brows. Â I have been searching for the past two years for someone to do my brows as my old go to person moved away. Â Ive found the place. Â I was so happy with my brows I skipped to train when I left the salon.
Price: 7.00
Thanks Perfect Brows!
This place is super convenient and the price can't be beat.
The women are very friendly and I've never had a bad experience. They are sympathetic to the fact that threading/waxing isn't the most pleasant experience and try to make it better. They are also just plain friendly which is few and far between in NYC.
It's really the little things that count; one of the ladies saw that I was in a great deal of pain while threading and without hesitation or annoyance in her voice she suggested waxing. Sold.
$10 minimum for credit cards and they have a stamp card. Cash gratuity is preferred but not mandatory.
I have been coming to this brow place for close to a year now. $7 for eyebrow threading? Can't beat it! Â The ladies that work here are super quick, and it is mildly less painful than other threading salons I have been to before - but anyone who says threading is less painful then waxing is lying! Â This location is very clean, rarely have to wait for more than one person in front of you and the women that work here are friendly (it's not like they can chat with you when they have a piece of thread in their mouth...). The fact that I have been coming here regularly for a year and have never left with uneven or too thin brows makes it 5 stars for me!
Review Source:Perfect brows is far from perfect.
Cons
-Bad customer service. Â No "hello" or "welcome" when you walk in. Â And after overtipping for a so-so job I didn't even get a "thanks." Â Plus one of the workers was asleep in the back...snoring. Â
-Mediocre threading job. Â Uneven eyebrows.
-$10 minium credit card purchase. Â
-Creepily quiet (besides the snoring) no music or conversation happening. Â
Pros
-Cheap
-Close to my apt
Looks like I need to find a new eyebrow place.
cheap eyebrow threading ($7). it was very clean, quiet place with lots of customers (but no wait; i just walked in). my eyebrows are great!! i don't know why poeple were complaining about getting overdone because i just got mine cleaned up, and that's the way i prefer it. the ladies were very nice there. it was not painful either (as compared to another threading experience i had once).
Review Source:I have been going to this place since last summer when I moved to the neighborhood.
I have been having my eyebrows waxed for many years and even though I have tried out threading several times, I really just prefer waxing.
Every time I come here, I guess once a month, they ask me if I'm sure I want wax and not threading. Â And I always say, I'm positive I want waxing. Â They let out a big sigh and do the waxing but then insist on finishing off with threading.
Tonight (Friday) I walked in at 6.45PM and only one woman was working and a man was attending the cash register. Â The place had about 6-7 women waiting, including myself. Â After about 15-20 minutes waiting, another woman came out from the back. Â Not sure if she was on break but there were plenty of people waiting.
It was finally my turn to sit in the chair, and again, I ask for waxing and cleaning up my brows, and they ask, are you sure you don't want threading? Â I said, no I would like waxing. Â
The woman proceeds and the wax is very hot and she is ripping off the waxing paper like she's angry at me. Â After a couple quick waxing she still goes ahead and finish it off with threading and telling me where to put my hands. Â
At this point I'm getting a bit pissed but don't say anything.  I clearly asked them not  When she is done, she runs off and comes back with a piece of paper and starts pulling on my hair.  I am asking what's going on as she is ripping out my hair, she said she dripped a little wax on it.  I was like, what the hell??  I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for many years, and I never once got wax in my hair.
At this point I just got out of the chair and paid. Â Before I left I said, this is absolutely ridiculous. Â If they don't want to do waxing, then they shouldn't offer it. Â Do threading only and call it a threading salon.
My hair, that I just washed before going to get errands done, is stuck together with wax and not even sure how to get it out.
Places like this totally piss me off.
And I am the idiot because still left her a tip.
This is definitely my last time visiting this place.
I wish there was a boom-boom-brow in the neighborhood; they always do such a lovely job.
I have wanted to try eyebrow threading for some time, but was really worried because I didn't know what was involved. Â After reading the favorable reviews of this salon, I decided to try it. Â The verdict is - I will never wax my eyebrows again! Â Threading is easy, less painful than waxing and quick. Â For $7, you can't beat it. Â I love the way my eyebrows look. Â The salon is clean, the staff is nice and I will definitely return. Â If you're on the fence, give it a shot!
Review Source:I'm probably biased, I got a great deal through living social for a leg wax & brazilian...and since I'd never had it done before due to the expense I decided to go for it. Andy...or Aunty? is super sweet and really professional, I told her it was my first time and she was very helpful and patient. The place is known for eyebrow threading, so I'll probably go back soon for that since it's cheaper than waxing and everyone raves about it being better than waxing! I got in early for my appointment and didn't have to wait, the procedure was very quick considering I was very fuzzy! If you're looking for a fancy schmancy spa with candles and extra perks, not the place, but it's simple, quick, cheap and perfect for me as a cash strapped NYU student!
Review Source:The worst service I have EVER gotten! I do not recommend this place at all. The young lady that works there, I don't know here name but she has absolutely no manners. The first time I went there I had a bad experience and I thought I would give it another shot and it was terrible. There are so many other great threading places in the area.
Review Source:I should have listened to the name. Â I went here to get my brows threaded and legs waxed. Â They did a nice job on my brows (which hurt, but ugh, you do what you have to do) but the waxing was NOT GOOD. Â The waxing room did not seem very clean (smelled weird, dusty) and the waxing job was done poorly. Â The woman was rough and not precise at all. Â At the end, I had angry, inflamed, bumpy legs that still had little hairs on them. Â Ugh. Â I'll probably go back for my brows, because it's close, cheap, and pretty good...but for waxing? Â Never again.
Review Source:I have been a loyal customer for well over 5 years and have had nothing but the most professional and satisfying services. Â Perfect brows is the only place I will go to get the perfect bikini/brazilian wax. Â I have been very happy having nina for my services. Â The entire staff is talented, efficient, thorough and safe. Â A new wax is used on me every visit, as they use a new wax for every customer that walks through their door. They abide by all health codes and are extremely clean. Â I have been pleased with every visit.
Review Source:This place is terrible! The first time I went I gave it a glowing review but the few times I went afterwards were a disaster! I have never seen the same person twice in this place and the employees barely speak English.
I asked for a brow wax and the lady tried to force me to get my brows threaded. I asked that she not was above my brow, as I happen to like the natural shape of the top of my eyebrows and she attempted to wax there anyway. Luckily I caught her and she had an attitude about having to remove it.
Then she only partially waxed my brows and proceeded to thread the rest. I told her that I did NOT want threading and she said that she was not really good at waxing. If that's the case then you should not list it as a service that you offer.
Overall they did not follow my instructions, they were rude, and my brows were not shaped in a way that was flattering to my face. In fact, I had to wait several weeks for them to fully grow back in and then go to a REAL brow specialist at Boom Boom's Brow Bar who fixed everything. My brows have been perfect ever since.
This place is cheap, but you get what you pay for.
I had always gotten my eyebrows waxed... then I took a chance and walked in here one day. Â I was a little nervous because I hadn't even checked out their reviews, but they did an amazing job! Â It was so quick, cheap and my eyebrows looked WAY better than they always did after waxing. Â I've already been back 7 times and to make things even better they have a frequent client card and every 6th visit is free. Â What more can a girl ask for?!
Review Source:Got an eyebrow and lip waxing...not really sure what I paid $12 for. There were still little hairs everywhere and when I said so, the lady was really rude to me. Guess that's what you get for $12 but I'd definitely rather pay more for a better job. The place seemed really dirty and unsanitary. Definitely will NOT be going back.
Review Source:I went one time. Â It was reasonably priced, but I swear when I walked in, one of the ladies was SLEEPING in one of the salon chairs! Â How unprofessional! Â I had to wait until she woke up and could ask her if she could do my eyebrows. Â She lazily woke up, don't use hand sanitizer before grabbing for the thread (which made me CRINGE), almost forgot to apply the powder to my face until I asked for it...I don't even know why I didn't walk out of there. Â She did a so-so job, missed a bunch of spots I had to take care of at home. Â But the worst part was how much I broke out because she just used her dirty hands. Â Really disappointed. Â It's not THAT inexpensive to justify this laziness and lack of service...
Review Source:I agree the ladies are really polite funny even but when it comes to the  Brazilian, just say NO!
I went here based on Yelp reviews to have my brows threaded. I would've stuck to just that.
I had a Brazilian done also. The old lady started and Jooty (the owner) came in and finished. As if that wasn't bad enough they DOUBLE DIP!! Yuck I wanted to jump off the table immediately but it was too late, she had already started.
The owner said she uses the same pot of wax on people she doesn't know because she gets alot of tourist to NYC and they never come back so she doesn't want to waste her wax or her $$. Â WTF
When I saw that I scrubbed myself when I got home and vowed to NEVER go back there.
That has to be a health violation.
I've lived in a lot of neighborhoods and have tried a lot of eyebrow places, and this is one place I would definitely seek out again. $12 for eyebrows and upper lip! Â The ladies were friendly, and had great attention to detail.
I'm not sure how she did it, but even the upper lip didn't hurt much (maybe my face was frozen from the cold weather outside?). Â I'm kind of a baby about pain, so that's talent!
Just a note: minimum $10 for using your credit card.
I love this eyebrow place. The ladies always do a perfect job, hence the name Perfect Brows! Lol.
It's cheap, it's fast, and I always leave extremely happy with my eyebrows. Oh, and make sure to get the little card thing to stamp every time you get it done because every 5th eyebrow threaded can get you the next one free!
My co-worker has perfect brows. I asked her where she got her perfect brows. She said Perfect Brows. I went to Perfect Brows. I emerged with brows that were Perfectly Shaped but Painfully Thin.
Of note: i went on a sunday, and I assume they probably don't have their best brow-ists (?) there on sunday early afternoonish.
A couple of days later I had a dream that I was getting my eyebrows done and the eyebrowist took off my entire right eyebrow. I was freaking out and was relieved that it was just a dream. My pencil-thin brows didn't seem so bad after that dream but I am not positive I want to try my luck here again.
But, like I said I went on a Sunday and they definitely did/do a good job on my co-worker, so who knows.
