I hate to write this as the staff at the shop were extremely friendly and nice people. Â But, I went in for a cover up of a very old tattoo which should have been fairly easy to do - the cover up is horrible and now I must go somewhere else and spend a lot of money to have it redone.
The line work & shading are very inconsistent and you can clearly see my old tattoo through the cover-up. Â In addition, there are parts of the old tattoo that are still showing (not even covered at all) - the shading also goes outside of the lines in several spots which makes many areas of it really off.
They were very nice but I would not return or recommend this shop
I came in a few days ago to get a tattoo of the Vacant Birdcage by Kurt Vonnegut. My tattoo artist, Adolfo "Vicious" Valencia was very nice about answering all my questions and making sure I had my tattoo exactly the right size and placement.
This being my first tattoo he explained what it'd feel like and was attentive about making sure I was doing okay throughout the process.
My birdcage came out lovely and I'll definitely go back for my next tattoo.
i've got a lot of tattoos and i've been to a lot of tattoo shops over the years, THIS IS A FANTASTIC TATTOO PARLOUR. Â Everyone is friendly, professional and amazing. I will be going back again for some more work. Â My artist was "Vicious", a friendly, good guy who happily does not live up to his nickname. lol. i also chatted a lot with the owner, George, who's outgoing, welcoming demeanor is obviously contagious. Â the tattoo that "Vicious" inked on me is really beautiful. His pre appointment work on drawing up the design and his communication with me was outstanding.

Like everyone said, this place is amazing! Super clean (they show you the equipment clean and new before they start) and everyone is seriously so nice. The artists asked me if this was my first tattoo (probably because I looked nervous as hell!) but they made sure I was comfortable.
Adolfo was my artist and he would make sure if I was alright throughout the entire procedure.
Anyways on the actual review of my tattoo, it came out great! I love it so much!
I'm so happy that my first tattoo was done at Tattoo Love :) I'm probably coming back again when I gather enough energy to go through the pain again haha.
I sent my husband to Tattoo Love Memorial Day not only to get a cover up, but support an old High School friends business (George Tavera). I as a small business owner myself support all other small businesses. I am all about TEAM work and that is what Tattoo Love is all about!! We came in expecting to work with my friend, but he and his fellow Artist Caesar had a different game plan. Not knowing what exactly my husband wanted they had been talking amongst themselves to share their ideas of what they thought would be best. My husband finally chose what he wanted and George chose one of his TOP artist to do the long 6-7 hour process of a cover up CAESAR!!!!
WOW what an awesome job he did!!!! With putting pieces of his soon to be NEW tattoo like a jig saw puzzle, CAESAR did a fantastic job!!! Thank you George for giving my husband the best of your Best Artist. Everyone was and is blown away from the before cover and after. Caesar you are GREAT at your craft!!
George I am so proud of your accomplishment of opening your own shop!! You have a very clean shop and you all use sterile tools along with a friendly environment. May your future grow to be BIG and successful! Thank you again for being there when I needed your service through FB!

I came to Tattoo Love last week for my first tattoo and Peter Kickz was my tattoo artist. From the moment I called the shop the day before to the moment I left everyone was very friendly and helpful. There were good vibes all around and was told that that is what they aim for.
The shop was very clean, tidy, and colorful with lots of tattoo artwork on display. Before we began, I was shown the tools and packaged needles that would be used on me. There was a nice plasma tv set to comedy central for me to look at during the long session.
I designed a Polynesian/Marquesas style tattoo and shopped around for weeks for the right shop and the right artists to work with. I had a hard time with scheduling and with being intimidated and not talked to in a helpful or courteous manner by the traditional tattoo artists from the islands. I'm glad that I found Tattoo Love. It seemed like it was meant to be the best place for my first experience. Peter really listened to me and took my images and came up with an outline that was perfect. I wanted the tattoo on my chest and shoulder, which were very sensitive spots, especially for your first time. Â The needle really wasn't as bad as I imagined. I really didn't know what to expect. Every time I looked down to peak at what Peter covered so far, I was amazed. It seemed like he worked so fast, but at the same time my tattoo was very intricate with it's shapes, lines, and shading.
Six hours later, I was still impressed and very happy with Peter's work. I will go back to him again and recommend Tattoo Love to anyone and everyone who's interested.
I found this shop through a friends Instagram page and contacted Adolfo "Vicious". I made an appointment and when i arrived to the shop I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. We were greeted by the owner George and some other tattoo artist right as we walked in and when i told him i had an appt with Adolfo he right away offered us water and told us to make ourselves at home as Adolfo was finishing up a tattoo. This is not my fist tattoo so it was really refreshing to walk into a shop with no attitude and real hospitable people. As we waited George the other tattoo artist talked to my sister about a tattoo she was thinking of getting gave her some ideas quoted her a price. Adolfo was GREAT! He took about an hour and half to complete the sugar skull tattoo on my wrist and I was really happy with the results.
I recommend this no-attitude, clean shop to everyone looking get a tattoo and Thanks again.
I have been getting tattooed and pierced by Adolfo "vicious" for 5 years now and I wouldn't go to anyone else, most of my work is traditional and script and I love it.
The staff at tattoo love is friendly, clean and very professional, each artist is great at what they do. I will defiantly be getting tattooed here again, Tattoo love is defiantly working its way to be an Eagle Rock gem! love this place
I have been wanting to go to this place since they opened. I am a Eagle Rock citizen, so I want to support the businesses in my community.
First I want to say that this is a great place to go for all people, families, young people, older people because of the professional and friendly service. Adolfo was the artist who worked on my tattoo and he did a good job. It was a three and a half hour session and he was very clear with his ideas for my tattoo and efficient throughout the appointment. I have to go back to finish up the final small section and all the the people working their made the process very convenient.
The owner George is great with his customers and cares a lot about customer satisfaction. He is very welcoming and created a very comfortable atmosphere for the people who come in. I'm pretty sure his wife works the front desk and she is super nice to all the people who come in.
This shop is put together nicely and something that should be very important to all people is that the shop is very clean and hygienic.
Over all if you are looking for a pleasant experience, and want nice tattoo, I would definitely come here. I personally would bring a friend here for their first tattoo, because I know they would have a positive experience.
if anyone is interested in getting a tattoo, look no further. Tattoo Love has amazing artists and a wonderful staff, that makes you feel calm and comfortable. I recently got my tattoo from George the owner of the shop and he is amazing! I absolutely love my tree and every time someone sees it, they compliment on the work he did. I also had two other tattoos done by Peter Kicks another wonderul artist in the shop.....and my cousin loved it so much, she ended up getting the same thing! Best shop in town!!!!
