If I could give a negative 10 review, I would! Â I came to this shop after driving all the way from Alpharetta to get a belly button piercing and encountered the rude disgusting attitude and treatment of a female staff( long brown hair). I came with my husband and 15 yr old daughter to share an occasion I've worked hard to lose 15lb to experience. The moment we stepped into the door we were not greeted with a "welcome to our shop" but instead with a loud, rude "how old is she?" "We don't allow kids in the shop!" I kindly asked the age limit after and before telling her that my daughter was 15 and was not getting a piercing. She then looked at my daughter and loudly asked for an ID...from a 15 year old who isn't even driving! I looked at her like she was crazy and asked what 15 yr old do you know with ID? She isn't getting the piercing I am and she is sitting out in the waiting area. At that time a nice guy started speaking to me professionally and kindly saying that there was a policy and the books have pics that are inappropriate for a minor so that was the concern. He also said the policy said that less than 12 wasnt allowed in. I again reiterated that she was 15 and told him that I understood and that my husband would sit with her but then the female staff who looks like a tall man with long hair rudely tells me that either my daughter sit outside while I get pierced or that I can leave! Then said that she was the one doing the piercing! As if to say "you wouldn't want to piss me off because I'm dealing with sharp objects on you!" The kind gentleman tried to calm the situation but she continued to be belligerent and was very argumentative. Â I left to get my piercing somewhere else and the treatment was wonderful and my 15 year old wasn't made to leave the shop. Â For a first time experience in the tattoo world, this was a horrible experience and it was obvious that when I notified the owner and nothing was done to resolve the situation, that customer service is not important at this shop. Â I wouldnt recommend anyone I cared about go here.
Review Source:Terrible service! Terrible business ethics! We booked our appointment (with someone named Brian) days in advance and paid a cash deposit for it. Â We get to our appointment 15 minutes before schedule. Â 30 minutes after waiting, and not being informed ANYTHING, we inquire and find out that "they're running a bit late and it will be another 30 minutes". Â After more questions, we were stunned to find out that they took a walk-in at 6pm, which was now running over. Â Really?? The least they could have done is called us and informed us. Â Yes, it's hard to predict how long a tattoo might take, but if you can't respect your customers and MAYBE give them a heads up to respect their time, that's terrible business on your part. Â Moreover, you're entertaining a walk-in client over someone that has taken the time to book an appointment with you days in advance. Â Bottom line is that my appointment was for a small tattoo and they probably had someone walk-in who gave them more business. Just shows what they value most.
We got a refund and found another location that valued us and our time.
I just got my 4th tattoo, which is also my second by Rob Knight at Timeless Tattoo. Rob is extremely talented and was able to help me create exactly what I wanted. Every person who works in the shop has been kind and helpful. There are fancier shops around, and ones that are much closer to my home, but I returned to Rob at Timeless because I knew he would be able to create a design that I loved and to make a flawless tattoo. If you're going to have something on your body forever, get something you love and get it done by someone with uncompromised skill. You will find exactly that, at Timeless.
Review Source:I am reviewing a certain "artist" and not the business I must first say, We have been to Timeless for more than one tattoo and Rob has done fantastic work, I am kicking my own butt for not seeing the same person again, he wasnt there today, I made the second assumption that all Timeless artist were equally as good, NOT the case - My daughter came in for a very meaningful tattoo in honor of her dad, - nothing hard, an infinity symbol with the word daddy's girl, the lettering on every one of the letters are of a different strength and shape. It looked nothing like the stencil when she finished - Â I mentioned it to her 3 different times, each time she went back in never to get it right. This tattoo look extemely amatur. Babara then informed me in the room that she has been tattooing less than 2 years and frankly it shows in her work. - she really needs alot more practice before putting the name TIMELESS TATTOO on her work. I dont know if it can be fixed or not, the lettering is quite small so I am not sure what to do at this point about it. I am just letting you know Cap that her work isnt up to par with what I know comes out of your shop and what if anything we can to do try to fix this?
Review Source:I got my first tattoo last night from Barbara at Timeless Tattoo in Atlanta. When I walked in, I first noticed how clean the shop is...and everyone was so nice. :-) My tattoo is awesome and the experience was awesome as well. Barbara made me feel totally comfortable. She was easy going, fun and did an amazing job. I am for sure addicted already and will for sure be going back to see her soon. :-)
Review Source:Brian Snape is awesome! I just had a 3 hour rib piece done yesterday. Timeless lives up to its reputation, I was treated very professionally and got an amazing tattoo! I looked through the artists portfolios, which are all amazing, and choose Brian. Brian kicks ass, he has a fantastic personality, extremely professional, and does quality work. I recommend Timeless and the staff 100x over!
Review Source:First off let me say customer service goes a LONG WAY. Don't treat people like shit. Giving someone a tattoo should be a mutual bonding experience. Anyways, I am from California and researched a place online to go to in Atlanta that could do my tatto for my birthday (While on vacation in ATL). I am used to a San Fran, San Diego, LA level of work when it comes to tattoos. Nonetheless, I show up to the shop on my birthday in Atlanta. No one wanted to help me!!They passed me along (As an African- American, It made me wonder if my race had anything to do with it) until this Asian girl asks me what did I want. I told her I wanted a Scorpion standing up and she told me this would be impossible for her to draw without it looking undistinguishable from a crab!!Like WTF!!!???I asked her if she could have the Scorpio holding up a circular sign and she also said that was not possible. So she then picks the most RANDOM, plain, unornamented scorpion there is off of google. I tell her that this is not what I pictured and she told me to basically fuck off!Not in those words, but she told me that I could go somewhere else and maybe I should. I tried to explain to her that I researched this place all the way from California and I don't know anymore tattoo shops in Atlanta. I also wanted to get my birthday tattoo ON MY BIRTHDAY so I decided to let her go through with it. Now, 3 tattoos later, IM PISSED because this is the ONLY tattoo I have that sucks. It is also the only tattoo I have received outside of California so maybe the quality is just really that shitty in Atlanta so people downthere are accustomed to it and like it. I wish I never went here and never would have had I just waited until I got back home. I am currently looking for an artist in Southern California to draw over it...THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND any out of towners or people of minority go there!!!They won't want to tattoo to you and when they do they'll totally alter what you ask for and then be very rude while you're getting your tattoo...this place is for sure the WORST place to get a tattoo...art wise, customer service wise, atmosphere wise, EVERYTHING! Im still mad at the horrible job they did...this Scorpion is the only piece on my body that I did not PERSONALLY design. & Magically, it also is the only piece that looks like crap SMDH
Review Source:Most tattoo parlors are cooler, smarter and generally better than you. Artists scoff at your existing ink and laugh at what you pick, be it from the wall or something other than whatever hipster trend is popular.
Then there is Timeless. I was able to walk straight in the first time with no waiting, and was able to book an appointment the second time with no problems.
The staff were all professional and courteous, even on our first trip when two of my country friends didn't tip their artist.
The ink I got was simple both times but both times Mr.Ryan Weaver turned out beautiful work that healed over really quickly.
Hands down, best tattoo shop in Atlanta, bar none.
I was being a "chicken shyt" for lack of a better term about getting my first tats. I had surfed the web and read a lot of reviews for good places to go for first timers. I really can't recall how I came to Timeless but I do recall reading reviews that made me feel comfortable enough to get started. My tat artist was Jenny "Bunny" Bunns. She was very nice and friendly, made me feel comfortable and at ease and best of all got my tats right on pointe'. I am no tattoo freak but I wanted mine to be neat and colorful (I do need to follow up with Jenny for a touch up soon).
Whenever I've asked someone if it hurts, they always told me not really and they were correct BUT I still feel it depends on where your tat is located. Â I am now certain with my own two tats that Jenny is not just good for first timers but for everyone. She has a great personality and is really cute too:-). Timeless Tattoo for your tats! Â Making my own observations, this parlor is very clean and the male tat artist are also excellent at their craft...I saw some interesting and quite expressive tats going out the door.
wasn't too sure about getting a tattoo, but tagged along with some friends with a picture of what i was going to get just in case. after watching two girls get theirs done in silence (they couldn't talk because of the pain) i decided i wanted one for sure. if they can handle it, then so can i! But man oh man, it hurt, especially during the shading. he was actually pretty great with finishing it quickly in 20 min. and putting up with the random curse words i threw out every time i felt the needle dig in.
overall, the experience wasn't too bad. i knew what i was in for, i knew it was gonna hurt, and in the end it looked great! but next time, I might try out psycho tattoo. I paid $90 not including tip for a dove the size of my palm.
I'm a Professional Piercer in Tallahassee, FL and had an idea for a large project for my third tattoo, but didn't really want to frequent any of the shops where I live/work.
While at Dragon*Con, I was able to attend a panel where Cap spoke about tattooing, the industry, and other odds and ends. Â I was immediately won over by his attitude toward training, sterility, and everything else. Â Before leaving town to head home, I scheduled an appointment with Brian Snape and had my first sitting. Â Since then, I've visited a few more times and am almost done. Â I couldn't be more pleased! Â On my second visit, my boy finally decided to get the tattoo that he's been planning for years. Â I have another friend who is heavily tattooed and immediately decided to get his next project at Timeless based on how flawless the line work on mine turned out. Â I will continue recommending people to make the trip. Â It's well worth it.
first timer + jenny bunny + friendly staff = i can see why it gets addictive
i was a bit apprehensive about getting my first inkjob done. Â and since i was a newbie and wanted to get something simple, most places i called turned me down or referred me to an apprentice. Â fug no.... i'm not getting something permanent done by someone inexperienced. Â luckily i stumbled upon timeless tattoo. Â the guys and gal are suuuuuuper duper nice and accommodating! Â
i went in for some lettering and jenny was sooooo damn precise, it looks like someone typed on me. Â i don't know how she does it but she is the bees knees....
came at opening on saturday and there were people waiting to get in!!! wtf?! Â and most of them requested jenny but i got to her first... suckas!
your mom has my name tatted on her bootay!!!
I got my tattoo done by Jenny Bunny. Â It was my first tattoo and even though I was a little intimidated to be walking into a shop for the first time, everyone was very friendly and nice. Â I got it on my foot and it hurt like a b**tch, but that's ok, I figured as much. Â She did a great job and was quick. Â She took the time to help me find a font that looked better than what I had originally come in with and printed out several options for me for placement. Â I was in and out of there in a half hour and I couldn't be happier.
Review Source:I just got my 3rd tattoo at Timeless, after a friend recommended Ryan. What should have been a 10-15 minute piece took about 45 minutes because we were having a great time talking! He did a wonderful job, and it was exactly the tattoo experience I wanted, unlike the experiences I had for my first two tattoos.
I also want to point out that I'm not the typical tattoo client - I'm not all tatted up and rock'n'roll and stuff - but I was treated really warmly by all the staff. This is the exact opposite of what happened when I got my second tattoo, where I was sized up as some who "didn't belong there" and was treated like crap, even though my money is as green as anyone's is.
So overall, I highly recommend Timeless, and Ryan!
I've worked with almost everyone... Rob, Brian, and Ryan. And I've never been disappointed. I got my first tattoo here from a recommendation and I can't seem to try any other tattoo shop. I've heard about others, but if you're interested in a straight to the point, good quality, and prices for a tattoo I suggest Timeless. I like the setting inside. And the staff is good.
Review Source:I got my fifth tattoo here - it was done by the fabulously talented Jenny Bunny Bunns. It was a symbol from one of my favorite series, and she nailed it spot-on! I recommended her to my friend and he called me the next week absolutely gushing about her work. Â The work was phenomenal, and the environment of the shop was very friendly and welcoming. Looking through the books of the other artists, I saw nothing but amazing pieces. Highly recommended!
Review Source:i went to get a tattoo around my bellybutton hoping to get some help or some type of creative ideas. unfortunately i did not get very much help from anyone there. i ended up getting a generic looking lily with absolutely no personality now im looking for someone to fix or improve this hugh boring stomach tattoo that im stuck with i will never go there again and it was expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im sooooo unhappy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review Source:Timeless Tattoo is amazing! Â I starting visiting this shop over three years ago and will never go anywhere else. Â The shop is clean, the people that work there are talented and super nice and you don't get the feeling that someone is talking about you behind your back. Â I ended up at Timeless after being laughed out of another shop, (on Ponce, across from The Local) by two guys that obviously didn't want my money. Â From the moment I stepped foot into Timeless, I felt welcome and appreciated. Â Lew Hands KICKS ASS!!! He stepped in and did the work that the jerks at that other tattoo shop refused to do and now has completed another small piece and is working on a large back piece for me. Â His work is impeccable, and he is super nice, all of which allow for a great experience. Â
I noticed someone else mentioned that her husband's tattoo got called out as being one of Cap's designs. Â The piece on my back was called out this summer by someone that asked, "Hey, did you get that done at Timeless? " Â That speaks for itself. Â The shop is great, the people are cool and the art speaks for itself. Â I will never go anywhere else, and hopefully, neither will you.
I first visited Timeless in February 2003 (I remember b/c it was Valentine's Day. Â Don't worry, though, I didn't get anything relationship-related), and have gotten all my work done there ever since.
First off, the crew there is really nice and helpful. Â I always go in with a sketch of what I want and then I work with the artist to resize, clean up, or whatever needs to be done to make sure I'll love my art. Â During this process, I don't feel rushed at all and it's OK if my "tweaking" goes on for a while.
So far, I've had Rob and Lew work on me and they're always cool. Â We just chit chat and they're really attentive, so if they see that I'm tensing up or uncomfortable, they let me take a little break. Â
The actual shop is brightly lit and clean on the inside, as are the individual work stations, so that definitely makes a person feel more at ease. Â Overall, this is a really nice place and if you're considering getting a tattoo, this is the spot.
My favorite thing about Timeless is the Waffle House across the street. Ridiculous? No, not when you can't have WH in your hometown. After getting my awesome scorpion tattoo from Jason back in 2007, we went to WH for dinner. Yummm!!
All kidding aside, I had a great experience here and didn't feel nervous about getting a screwed up drawing on my body that will be there FOREVER. It was very clean, nice waiting area in the front but the tattoo booths were super small. If you're looking for Jason Kelly, he went to Memorial Tattoo 2 off Moreland. If you already love someone here, stay here...it's a good place to get inked.
I picked Timeless as my tattoo studio of choice after seeing the beautiful work my roommate kept having done there. I had my first tattoo--a large rose--done in two sessions (as per my request) and both times were excellent. The desk staff was very nice, I paid my deposit (not the whole cost--just $20 or so) and met with my artist, Brian. He took his time in drawing up my custom flower and it came out absolutely beautiful. For both sessions the staff were all super nice, had an excellent bedside (or chairside, really) manner and my tattoo came out gorgeous! I will definitely be going back to Timeless in the future for more work.
Review Source:I got my first tattoo here. I picked it out from a google search on my iphone. It came up first and closest.
That was not a good way to pick a tattooist, I know that now.
First, they make you pay for the tattoo before it's even done. Being a newbie I didn't know that this was not how it's done in the Tattoo world. It's like they have money on the mind from the moment you walk in. I know, it's a business so they really should but I just thought satisfaction guaranteed should have been thrown somewhere in there. But nope.
However, this is the part that got me. My tattoo quite simple, which actually spurred the lack of research on my part. Very simple lady bugs lining my thigh. How do you eff up ladybugs? I wonder. How as an artist do you manage to screw that up? If I ask you for ladybugs, and I've already paid you, you should give me the most awesome ladybugs this side of the planet, make it look truly unbelievable, have people gushing at the sheer magnificence of my ladybugs.
So there's my complaint. And since this was not a place that seemed to care about satisfying their customer, I chose not to come back. I talked to the artist about a few times but being that they were more money oriented and she had managed to screw up something so simple, I did not come back. I did my research and went to ink and dagger, which you should, if you're reading this.
I got my first tattoo at Timeless in March of 2007, and I couldn't have had a smoother or more easing experience.
I came in with a design in mind (I had a small sketch) and the artist I had, Â Brian, was able to replicate it and turn it into something much better. Â He was very attentive and responsive to what I wanted, but at the same time, when an idea I wanted wouldn't have worked out well, he didn't hesitate to let me know.
I was a nervous wreck upon entering the room, but Brian was good at making casual conversation with me to ease my fears and nerves. Â I was beyond ecstatic with my tattoo, and to this day I still love it as much as I did when I got it.
Very clean, sterile environment -- don't let the outside surroundings deter you from going in!
I got my very first tattoo at Timeless and was thrilled with the results. Â It's a very clean environment, with extremely friendly staff. Â I also had my lip pierced here and the woman who did it was very upfront and honest about the pain and was very knowledgeable when it came to aftercare. Â I enjoyed my experiences here and would definitely go back.
Review Source:While I have a fair amount of tattoos, I'l admit to not venturing out as much as I should across different artists. So when my husband wanted a tattoo in a style I've never had, I had no clue where to steer him.
He was on his own & researched online. He was looking for a Grey's Anatomy style tattoo depicting my craniocervical fusion, done in black ink only with intricate shading. The name he came up with was Cap Szumski. We called a friend who knows her way around the local artists, & she said his reputation was stellar.
The tattoo my husband ended up with is phenomenal. He couldn't be happier. I was even more impressed when I was getting a tattoo later that day & my artist looked at it & said, "that's Cap's work, isn't it?" He is obviously known for what he does well.
The biggest reason I don't branch out more is when I find a connection, it's hard for me to risk losing it. The combination of being an artist & being a *tattoo* artist no less is a dangerous recipe for being cooler than you. Frankly, if you're putting your art on me & the process is painful as hell (not to mention *permanent*), I don't want to deal with attitude bs. You don't have to be my friend, but work with me here - try to make the time we have together enjoyable for us both.
That being said, Cap was engaging & took it seriously. He was clearly an artist at work, & was appreciative of the fact that my husband carefully selected him for his artist. While not being the typical "Southern" style of nice we Atlantans might be used to, he was a great guy to talk to.
So why not five stars? There's only one reason, & had we known about it beforehand would have been better prepared. When my husband set up the appointment Cap estimated three hours, & we were there five. Now, I'm not saying it wasn't worth it! Good things are worth waiting for. I just would've liked the expectation to be a little clearer, as someone who's a stickler for time.
If you want a realistic portrait done by someone who takes the art seriously, Cap is your man.
On another note, I was impressed by something else I observed at Timeless. When each artist finished a tattoo, they paraded the person around to the other the artists to demonstrate. I thought this was a really cool touch - it gave the place a real community feel.
