DUPLICATE REVIEW gave to 38th/Pacific Ave also!
LOVE this shop. Had scoped them out 5 years ago passing through and didn't go in until 2009 when I knew what I wanted to commit too.
Brought my friend in for a quick wrist piece and Jason did a fantastic job. Now she finally has a good tattoo as opposed to all of her not so good ones. Scheduled and appointment with John Sabin to get a consult and start the process that next month. OH my LOVE what he did for me. John did the best job on my very large back piece. I get all kinds of compliments and I love it. Every single one of these guys knows their stuff. Just look at any ones portfolio. Hands down the best place I have been for tattooing. (this was my sixth and largest piece and my sixth shop) When I get my next one regardless if I live in town this is where I will come. Clean, friendly, knowledgeable. They will let you know if your design will or won't work and offer help to draw you up a rendition that will. No crappy art coming out of this shop at all. Bonus is they are all really cool guys to talk to when getting your work done. No weird vibes at all.
Can't wait to schedule my next one!

I got my second tattoo done at their Pacific Ave branch and I did it with Sarah. She was amazing!!!!! I gave her an initial design of what I wanted and she asked me to come in the next day to see what she drew up for me. She was very very patient with me and even though I had to ask her to adjust the design she made, it turned out amazing. Another tattoo artist was there to critique her initial work and help her make sure everything was perfect. They also helped make me laugh before and after the session because I was nervous.

It was quick and she was very precise with her work. I'm really happy with how it turned out and i'm coming back to finish up the rest of my tattoo. Go to her if you want original and good work!

Flaming Dragon Tattoo Co. is one of the best tattoo shops in the Seattle/Tacoma area.  I have been to both of their locations on 6th Ave and 38th St. and they are equally exceptional establishments.  Their shops are what I call "East meets West", hip and funky environment and walls adorned with eclectic Asian artwork and masks.  Both locations are meticulously clean as well as comfortable and all of the artists are amazingly talented and professional and provide the highest quality of work.

I had been wanting to get a back tattoo for the longest time and when I heard their artist Scott Schafer specializes in Chinese and bird/fowl artwork I knew he was the one.  He listened to me from the beginning and combining my ideas with his many years of expertise has created the most beautiful tattoo for me and has by far exceeded my expectations.  Only two sessions in so far and I can't wait to see how the shading and color will turn out!

If you live in Seattle/Tacoma you are very lucky!  Gotta check these guys out, you will NOT be disappointed!  Check em out at <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flamingdragon.com&s=0f72b4bd4b19041fa9185710c218ea238cc686d70b4b83bfc8f1f7b15d442e81" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.flamingdragon…</a> and at the Seattle Tattoo Expo 8/8-8/10 <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.seattletattooexpo.com&s=a300996fbea5ce2b70dcced7fef2d6626ac24d9ec00d1dd16bfe28e6958cced2" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.seattletattoo…</a>.

As I said in my other tattoo shop review, I find it odd reviewing the shop as opposed to the artist.  I got my first tattoo at Flaming Dragon at the recommendation of a friend and after meeting Bryan to discuss my idea.  I chose to go there based on seeing his previous work and feeling comfortable working with him.  He did an excellent job and I've been back to Flaming Dragon several times.  Now that Bryan is working at a shop closer to me I'll continue to have him work on my tattoos.

Still, the other artists at Flaming Dragon are all great.  The atmosphere there is relaxing, the shop on 6th & Proctor is in an old house.  They've done a great job refinishing and painting the place.  There are private rooms for piercing, and a design studio upstairs for "fleshing" out your artwork.
