Painted Moon

Painted Moon is really just one lady, a sweet woman named Mary.

I met Mary at the Yelp Rock the Casbah event at Tagine this week, where she was hired to do henna tattoos for the guests. She told me she does henna and tarot card readings at Tagine a few times a week (not sure which days, probably weekends??). She also is available for private parties, where I imagine she does most of her business.

I've only ever gotten henna done once before, in Dubai, so I suppose I'm still a bit of a novice. But I LOVED it! Even after looking through her extensive book of designs, I had no idea what I wanted and encouraged her to do whatever she wanted. Was I impressed? Oh yes. My roommate also got one. And we, as teachers, have been fielding questions all week from our students about the mysterious new designs that have appeared on our hands.
