Awesome & Talented Artist! Went to Ricky for my first tattoo and could not have been happier ! Told him my original idea and he pointed out some negatives but all with perfect reasons! I'm glad I listened to him and could not have been happier. Going to put of my tattoo in the next few day; it's the script across the chest
Review Source:I just got my tattoo at Inkman today. Ricky and Dan are a riot! Ricky is more serious and reserved, while Dan is super chatty and silly. They are like polar opposites!
My tattoo looks pretty amazing atm and I will upload a photo when its all healed up. Mostly, Ricky did my tattoo. He was very professional and took his time inking it up. He also spent a chunk of time discussing my tattoo with me to ensure we were on the same page and created an awesome design for me. He was also very patient with me as it was my first time and I kept asking for breaks from the pain and because my arm kept getting numb! He also only charged me for an hour but I was there much longer than that. I am very pleased with my experience and will be back. I can't wait for my next tattoo!
**Danh hopped onto my tattoo for a little bit and he is very skilled as well. The ironic thing is that he doesn't have any tattoos at all!! (apparently he has a low pain threshold). He is very funny and dorky but he knows his stuff!!**
Finally bit the bullet and conjured up enough cojones to go through with this. Â Ricky did both my tattoos and my friend's, all in one night. Â Gave me sound advice re the letters potentially blurring on my foot in a few yrs and also poked fun at the circle I decided to get on my back - which i still stand by! Â
Experienced and professional; he made sure I was comfortable throughout the session whilst I was whimpering like an injured dog. Â I also asked for numbing cream - don't judge! Â My threshold for pain is nil! The atmosphere is fun and friendly; interesting convos were had. Â Maybe I'll return for another (eh ... or not since I'm chicken doodie)
All in all, I'm happy with both my tats!
I've been wanting to get another tattoo for some time now and I went with Inkman because I live 10 minutes away. My artist was Angela and she is the best. Super nice and friendly, made me feel so comfortable. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and she tweaked it so that it'll be an original and I loved it. Hurt a little bit more than I expected but towards the end it was a lot easier to handle. She makes sure that you're comfortable before continuing. I would definitely recommend her and I'll be going to her from now on for my other tattoos.
Shop was super clean and sanitary and price was reasonable. Better than what you can get in the city.
Excellent Experience and Exquisite Tattoo. I'm very very picky and Gillian got my tattoo perfect in every way, placement, linework, shading, feel, size, etc. She was lots of fun to work with and had clear ideas about what would work and wouldn't and relying on her experience and knowledge I was able to get exactly what I had in mind but wasn't exactly clear yet to me. The location is clean, well-lit, easy-going, friendly, and Ricky and Gillian are incredible tattoo artists with top-notch skills and passion for what they do. Will definitely recommend and be back again for any necessaries in the future. Enjoy! Much less money than Manhattan prices but better quality!
Review Source:Ricky is theee best! He's very honest and straight forward. Any sort of piece you want, he'll point out the negatives...but with reason. I wanted some small script done once and he states "Its going to be blurry in a few years." Another time I wanted a star behind my ear and he says "That's on your face!" He tattooed my finger reluctantly once and now I regret it, I should have listened to him.
Ricky has done my back piece, and redid another and both came out beautiful. He takes his time and evaluates everything from every angle.
Ricky is most definitely a true artist.
Oh and Danh isn't bad either...he makes a lot of laughs.:)
I went to the new location on 18th avenue and got my tattoo done by Dan. He is amazing! I wouldn't ever go any place else again. He sat and talked, didn't rush through anything and made me feel very comfortable. He does great work at a very reasonable price. I already recommended this place to friends and family members and I would recommend it to anyone else who is looking for an awesome tattoo!
Review Source:Ricky's not just a tattoo artist, he's an artist that does tattoos! A handful of my friends have gotten inked by him so this was the first place I thought of for mine and I'm happy with the results.
Not to mention, that headbangin music they play helps while you're getting tortured under the needle.
Inkman Tattoo is one of those shop's that doesn't have the hype like some shops,but they do really nice work.Dan,& Ricky,both do alot of asian style work..Dan's dragon's are some of the best I've seen in the city.
Two good guy's doing real nice work with fair prices makes this a go to shop in Brooklyn.
