I hesitated writing this review because Mike is already so damn popular---I will end up having to wait longer.
If you want quality work at an amazing price--See Mike. He is probably the Ferrari designer of Tattoos. My experience? Felt daring and arrived at 7:30pm. The white board didn't have the marker in the marker holder but I snatched it from a close counter and put my name on the list anyway. Mike said it will be hard to get to me but he will try his best. 7-8-9-10-11-12-1-2-2;30----Thats how long I waited but man oh man....it was worth it.
If you know him, you will know his laugh...cracks me up.
If you want a Tattoo---call first, get there by 3 and wait....and you will get everything you imagined if not more.
Cheers,.
Did I mention his prices? WTF...I have never seen such good work at such low pricing.
PS. I am brown-skinned and his ink-work is the best I ever hard....Dark and Daring
Mike is tattooing since 1976 and is the true professional. The reason I no that is because he doesn't just put ink on you he is constantly havIng conversation and laughs as he goes. I spent many hours waiting for Mike because its a first come first serve basis, and if your not there early you will have to wait your turn. I have no problem with that, its he's terms and he is well worth the wait. It the last 6 months I had 3 cover ups and one new tattoos done and everyone is awesome I couldn't be more pleased with the work. One more thing not only is Mike a great guy and artist his  prices are almost not fare to him...Joe (Staten Island)
Review Source:Michael Angelo is a true artist in his trade. This guy is a local legend. Arrive early and expect to wait all day for a classic no frills tattoo. Mike has tattooed me over 20 times and has also tattooed my whole entire family with no complaints from anyone. The quality is great and the ink lasts. Besides the amazing tattoo you'll also get to chat with a guy who is a genuine person and has plenty of stories to tell.
GEPO.
Mike is a pro! This an old school no B.S. shop. Quality work from a true artist and craftsmen. Have a design ready, a reference or  pick a design off the wall. Mike does it all even portrait work. Call to make sure the shop is open. Mike is off Tues and Friday. Show up early. The shop opens at 4:00pm more or less. Put your name on the list when you get in.  Be civil, get a tattoo, pay the man and get the f*ck out.
Review Source:Looks like I'll post the second review, then. I love the work I got from Mike, in the first place: technically, he's a guaranteed pro. But more important than that, at least to me, he's one real guy still coming from the  true old school. The experience itself, the other tattoo buddies you get to meet and know trying to kill time during the endless waiting time, the all original real Brooklyn hang out situation, added to Mike's quality old fashioned top notch work made my experience unforgettable. Looking forward to a second chance.
Review Source:No reviews for Michael Angelo? I'll bite, then.
I got my first tattoo here a few years ago (a very, very simple shoulder piece). I would've never found the place had it not been for a buddy who knew somebody who knew somebody who knew somebody, etc.
Some things you need to know about his place (things may or may not have changed since I've been here last):
1) He operates it out of what was once a residential basement, completely renovated to be a studio (look for the neon sign).
2) You sign your name on a white board. No appointments. First come, first served.
3) He opens around 4pm. Sometimes. Other times, he doesn't open at all and you end up with a line on his porch.
4) He's not the friendliest guy, but does good work.
5) Won't cost you an arm and a leg.
